| 7:50 - 8:00 Settling In - Students arrive, get organized for the day, and begin Target Math independently 8:00 - 9:30 Math (with assemblies Mondays & Fridays) 10 min. basic fact practice, 35 min. teach concept/skill, 45 min. problem solving/small group re-teaching 9:30 - 10:00 - Word Work/Writing 10:00 - 10:45 Specials - Art, PE, Music, PE, Computers 10:45 - 11:15 - Writing 11:15 - 12:15 - Guided Reading/Literature Circles - meet with teacher, language arts skill game, reading, comprehension work, journaling 12:15 - 12:20 - Bathroom Break 12:20 -12:50 Lunch 12:50 - 1:20 Recess/Study Hall 1:20 - 1:45 D.E.A.R. 1:45 - 2:45 Science/Social Studies - alternating weeks 2:45 Closure - Write in planner, discuss homework, any other final business, closing procedures |
