Chapter Seven
by Sarcastro

"Let's dance," Corinna said with a hint of a smile on her face as she grabbed the vibro knife she kept in her other boot. Corinna knew that she had no real chance of stopping Zacks without some heavier weaponry, therefore she had to either get lucky or keep him talking till she could escape.

As they circled around each other looking for an opening Corinna asked, "So Zacks how much is Jacko paying you for this bounty? Eighty? Ninety?!"

"Zacks! I'm surprised at you! Only fifty five for a bounty hunter of your skill...you must be getting soft...or old."

Zacks grunted as Corinna threw a high kick towards his throat only to have it parried with relative ease.

"You take what you get Corinna, besides the money is only half the fun. It's the thrill of the hunt that I enjoy," Zacks said nonchalantly, but Corinna knew she was getting to him.

"What makes you think Jacko's going to pay even fifty five?" This little comment threw Zacks off guard.

"What!"

"Jacko isn't exactly the most civil employer, I should know."

"Shaddup! I know what you're doing Corinna and it ain't working! I know your profile, there's nothing you can do to throw me off guard, not even your stupid mind games! Hehe..."

"Guess you're right Zacks, you're too smart for me," Corinna replied sadly as she reached into her coat pocket and cradled the .45 magnum with Ramjet rounds she kept in there for just certain emergencies. "I'm coming peacefully...,"
