Never made it as a wise man,
I couldn't cut it as a poor man stealing.
Tired living like a blind man,
I'm sick of sight without a sense of feeling.
An' this is how you remind of me of what I really am
This is how you remind me of what I really am.
It's not like to say sorry
I was waitin' on a different story.
This time round, was stakin'
'Fore heaven knew my heart
Was breakin'!
I've been wrong I've been done
Into the bottom of every bottle
These five words in my head
scream are we having fun yet?
Yah Yah Yah Yah
Aw No No
Yah Yah Yah Yah
Oh No No
It's not like you didn't know that,
I said I love and I swear I still do.
It must have been so bad,
Cause livin' with me must have damn near killed you.
An' this is how you remind me, of what I really am.
This is how you remind me of what I really am.
It's not like you to say sorry.
I was waiting on a different story
This time round was shakin'
'Fore heaven knew my heart was breakin!
And I've been wrong, I've been down
Into the bottom of 'evry bottle.
These five words in my head scream,
Are we havening fun yet?
Yah Yah Yah
No No
Yah Yah Yah
No no
Yah Yah Yah
No no..
Never made it as a wise man
I couldn't cut it as a poor man stealing
And this is how you remind me.....

Death to: Kilo
***************************************************************
A small white haired boy sits boredly on a giant gold and sliver throne watching a juggler performing. He fiddles with a large slivery thrown on his forehead with a look of shear hatred on his face. Shifting in his seat, he impatiently waits for the pathetic juggler to finish his unworthy act. When the juggler tosses the last ugly multicolored ball into the air the white haired boy sighs, glad that's over with.
"I can't take another one of these..."He mumbles to himself watching the jester leave. "Dad...I ....don't fell well...." the boy stammers and gets up to leave. A very tall white haired man nods to the boy.
"If you must..."the tall man leans in closer to his son. "Vale, if I could I'd go with you stupid Mia and her court gestures, but...then again someone has to watch her..."
Vale, the white haired boy nodded, and walked outside flinging the sliver crown back onto his large throne. Sighing he walks threw the large tree filled gardens wondering about something. Walking briskly over a cobble stone road down into the kitchens he notices something odd.
"What are you doing?" Vale asks a man standing by the kitchens with a cage behind him.
The man looked around himself wondering if Vale meant another person. Finding no one but himself he replied; "I was bringing this for your father prince Vale. He told me not to let you see it until it was time."
Vale cocked one eyebrow. "Ok whatever..." he leaned to his left trying to get a glimpse of what was in the cage. Having no luck he continued on into the kitchens looking for something, that was vital to his plan of escape...
****************************************************************
"Are you really going to leave vale?" A small black haired boy asked Vale at lunch time. Vale nodded with a far away look in his deep ocean blue eyes. "Aw...Vale it's going to be no fun without you. It'll be no fun blowing up stuff all by myself..." the boy whined looking at Vale with large green eyes.
Vale smiled. "you can blow stuff up just fine without me Kilo, I'm not even that good at it."
"Oh yes you are, better than me even though I'm older..."the boy said snapping out of his whine phase.
"Well...I'm sorry but it sucks to be son of a legend you have to live up to so much, you know?" Vale said.
Kilo shook his head. "No not really, my family is just rich because of my dad's job...."He said, it was common knowledge that his father was sitting atop of a indestructible pyramid of thieves and gangs.
Vale sighed. "Well he already has me learning swordsmen ships and all the rules that Sanrixains have to abide by. It's tough if I ever impress...."
Kilo nodded. "You'll be expected to be a bronzerider....... " Finishing Vale's sentence.
Vale nodded hopelessly. He knew there was no way he could even get close to riding a bronze, especially with his fear of dragons. " If I impressed a bronze it wouldn't matter. No dragon could ever amount up to Father's mighty Zykiriath. What is he 52 feet?"
Kilo nodded, he was an expert in sizing things up and planned to be a mathematician. " You'd have to impress the son of Bolton..."
Vale laughed. "Yeah right Sargon hasn't even found a wife yet..." He smiled. 'more or less a dragon for his great bronze brute.."
Kilo laughed. "Sorry Vale I guess you haven't heard. He warped to Pern over the winter to watch Rylsen's winter flurry and met Kat. Who by now is Sanrixess Kat."
Vale smiled. "No matter, it was winter only 2 months ago...her dragon won't be and adult until next winter..." He frowned. "We better carryout with the plan." Nodding Kilo took a last bite of fish.
He put his chopsticks down, (all Rayllomians eat with chopsticks) and walked over to the kitchen. Vale smiled time to get going...
Kilo opened to door to the kitchen and out came a horrendous scream. Everyone turned to see a giant 10-legged spider, the distraction so Vale could escape.
Wile all hell broke loose on Valor's (Vale's father) palace Vale ran to the stables and hopped onto the back of his angel white horse and galloped out in valor's woods
far away from his family...
Far away from his friends...
Far away from the high expectations...
Far away from the most important things in his life...
Vale stopped only once, to pick up his Father's old blood stained sword that had been carried down for generations, by the Sanrixains of Cespar. Of course to this, Vale was oblivious.
***************************************************************
Still seated on his white stallion vale rode through the night unsure of where he was going. The snow was getting very thick, and blocking his vision. He didn't have a clue what to do, he had obviously rode very far, for at Valor's palace it was always warm and sunny.
He pulled back the reins on his horse's bridle and stared at what looked like an old abandoned Craft hold. She shook his head making sure he wasn't loosing it because of the cold, but the craft hold was still there and it looked as if someone was inside. He rode closer careful not to make too much noise, he was sure that they couldn't see him he was wearing only a slivery tank top, blue jeans and a pair of his favorite sunglasses, and everyone knows sliver and white cannot be seen in the snow.
He looked inside the window and saw a group of gangly looking people. And gasp, this was in fact an abandoned craft hold...but that would mean...
He was in Pern...
Vale unmounted his slivery white stallion and brought him to the back of the hold, finding a suitable shelter for him temporally. He silently walked to the back door of the hold clutching his father's blood stained sliver sword by it's hilt. He watched the group of mainly guys, sitting in the middle of the hold around a fire. Vale bit his lip he would die to sit in front of a fire right now, he was so very cold.
After about ten minutes Vale decided these people weren't to dangerous and walked out into the middle of the room. A brown haired thug looked up from the fire. "Hey who are you?" He asked noticing Vale for the firs time. Vale also noticed that though only a guy of 15 he was taller than all of the guys huddled around the fire.
He also noticed he wasn't as strong looking. "I'm just a guy looking for someplace warm to stay." He said making sure not to bring the sword into view yet.
The gang of guys looked him up and down. "You look fine...where a gang of thieves and well we're looking for more people to join." A tall black haired man said standing up. He was as tall as Vale and had neat looking sliver eyes. "I am Typhin, leader of this bunch." He said with a sarcastic smile.
Vale smiled. "I am Vale..." He stopped himself, no need to use his title here.
Typhin nodded and introduced the other people to him one by one. "And finally this is Uzil, he is nicer than he looks..." Typhin said pointing to the brown haired thug who had first spoke to Vale.
Vale nodded. "If you don't mind I have a really cold horse outside is there a place I could tie him up?"
Typhin smiled. "Of course, he can meet Ganodor." The gang of people laughed slightly and Vale looked at Typhin with curiously. "He's a bit mean..." he explained.
Vale nodded following the dark haired man into the stables, or what he hopped to be stables.
*********3 years later upon the absence of Typhin*********
"Vale we have to do something about this I mean it's been a year since Typhin's been here." Uzil announced to the over tired Vale.
"I know Uz...But it just doesn't seem right you know? I mean what if he comes back?" Vale said unsure if he should take over as leader.
"He won't he told us he might be wanted back..." Uzil said smiling. "Plus everyone likes you and heck you are the smartest." Uzil said sheepishly.
Vale laughed. "Fine then..." He said. "at least my `ol dad can't be that mad at me any more.." Vale said laughing at Uzil's look of confusion. "Long story..." He explained.
*************************************************************
Vale sat waiting for Uzil to bring in the culprit that had been stealing from them for so long. He was expecting a skinny rat like person but instead he was shocked when he heard a female voice outside the door.
"Come on in Uz.." vale said straitining up into his leader pose. Uzil opened the door and walked in clutching a blue haired girl by the arms. She was about 5"2 and very attractive. She was wearing all blue and her shirt was has little too tight...
vale shook his head and diverted his glance back to the girl's face. "so you’re the one who's been stealing all of our stuff huh?" H asked waving his hand. Uzil released her and stood by the door.
She glared at Vale. "so what if I am?" She snapped eyeing Vale with unreal looking white blue eyes.
"If you are you could at least tell me why?" He snapped back smiling at her, he already had a plan to force whatever the reason out of her, though he though force wouldn't be necessary.
She sighed. "I needed to feed my baby..." She said glancing at Uzil with fierce eyes. "dose he have to hear this?" Vale nodded his head at Uzil and he walked out the door.
"Baby?" Vale asked realizing this girl was about 15. He wondered how..
"My blue pet Daic...I call her my baby..." the girl responded rolling her eyes. "I'm sorry I stole your stuff...It's just..." She looked up at Vale's sword. "Hey! You steal stuff too! Thief! That's what you all are! Thieves!"
Vale laughed. "We prefer the term gang." He smiled remembering what Typhin had told him. "You could be in our gang, we have plenty food for you and your 'baby'. Plus you seem to be good at stealing..." He said. "I am Vale leader of this group of misfits."
She looked around at all the stuff that Vale and co. had stolen. "Well...i guess...what else do I have to loose? I am Vainia the bringer of ice..." she said .
Vale cocked one eyebrow. And you mean what by that?" Vainia pulled off one glove and ball of ice hovered in it she chucked it at Vale. He deflected it with his father's sword and laughed. "you'll have to improve your aim..."
"And if I do?" She answered replacing her glove and smiling at Vale.
"then it would be nice to have a second leader around the house......" Vale said taken back with the girls' beauty. What he really meant to say was 'Then it would be nice to have pretty girl around here...' but as usual he could never tell someone his feelings.
Vainia raised her eyebrows. "Ok....." she said unsure of what vale meant.
"Never mind..." He said. 'If you improve your aim, you could go places in the thieving business..."

to find out what happened between Vale and Vainia until now please read up on Vainia's page.
**************************************************************
Vale awoke slightly sleepy. The hatching was coming up and he was nervous. If Vainia impressed, he'd fell very awkward trying to talk to her dragon and even her now that she was a dragoner. His thoughts drifted back to his life of high expectations and the time when he and kilo where friends. Vale snorted it was on the second day Vainia had come he remembered...
Vale walked down the streets of a near bye town, looking for the bar to get something to eat. He was taking Vainia to out to lunch and to show her around. All of the sudden he turned a corner and there clad in all black stood his childhood friend kilo. Kilo was accompanied by a tall blonde girl and a red haired woman who looked to be no older than Vale himself. Grinning Vale walked over to him, "Kilo?" He said a little unsure that was his buddy. Kilo looked very different, he was taller of course and still had the same black hair, but there was a hatred in his lime green eyes that Vale couldn't place.
"What do you want punk?" Kilo asked staring coldly at Vale. The red haired girl looked to the blonde and the blonde back at the red hair.
"Don't you remember me?" Vale asked walking forward. Vainia grabbed Vale's arm and shook her head looking at Kilo's overly large sword
Kilo rolled his eyes, he noticed Vainia for the first time. "I remember now your that goof ball who took over Typhin's group" Kilo said. "Hey girlie why don't you come with me to a better place." He grabbed Vainia's arm and pulled her away.
"If you dare even try to harm her I will hand you your own blood dripping head.." Vale snapped at Kilo. Surely something had happened to kilo, something bad and Vale wanted to know what.
Kilo released Vainia and walked away glaring at Vale with his cold green eyes. "thanks Vale..." Vainia said. "I won't ask......"
**************************************************************
Drifting Back to the future now Vale got up and prepared to go with Sargon to watch the Hatching, at what did Sargon call it? Baeris's place?
**************************************************************
Vale walked down to the kitchens of Azon smiling at all the chaotic people. They were so nervous about the move, some had never been to Rayllom and others were just nervous. Isemoth a beautiful green dragon was waiting to fly, she had been since winter but because of the move Sargon had delayed it. Vale stopped when he reached the kitchens looking curiously at Xenoyth. She really was a pretty dragon, perfectly proportioned and very sweet. Her wings very large and she looked to be a good flyer though only young... "Typhin?" Vale asked shocking the dark man. "Where is Xenoyth from?" Typhin smiled. "Ryslen Weyr. She is a night green..." He said. "that's what they call half blacks and half whites are called lights..." Typhin looked at Vale curiously. "Why?" "Well...I can't wait for Vainia to impress....and Ryslen's dragons seem to good to pass up." Vale said. "Lights you say?" He said recalling what Sargon had told him. 'You would go good with one of Ryslen's lights... '
****************************************************************
Vale wondered through the many halls of Ryslen looking for the hatching sands. He had heard they where large, something about hatching 89 dragons last winter. He shuddered, his father's Sanrix could never hatch that many dragons. It wasn't a matter of size but a matter of participants. There weren't to many dragons around anymore...not after Garth and the great war...
Vale stopped suddenly pulling himself out of his thoughts. He found himself in a dark room. It was lit by only a few candles and the light cast large weird shadows on the black stone walls. "Hello?" He called out in his deep voice. He heard only his own voice bouncing of the walls in the form of an echo, Vale decided to move on into the room.
He stopped about half way thinking he heard something in the darkness and looked around himself. "hello?" He called again hoping fro an answer. "come on now I don't bite..." vale mumbled quietly to himself.
Still hearing no response he moved on into the darkness hoping to find the hatching sands. He heard what he thought to be the sound of a swishing tail, and the faint noise dragon's paws make when they walk over stone. "Ok if there's someone out there show yourself... " Vale said grabbing the hilt of his sword. "I am armed..."
I can see that very clearly...A voice rumbled in Vale's head. Vale peered into the darkness looking for the gleam of eyes. He knew that there was a dragon there now, the were the only things Vale knew of to be able to mentally communicate with someone. I suggest you leave your sword in it's sheath. I will not harm you... the strong voice rumbled again into Vale's head. Vale looked around frantically. The voice sounded almost identical to his father's mighty bronze Zykiriath. "who are you?" Vale asked using and equally strong voice. If his father had come for him after all these years he wouldn't come back...he refused to come back...
I am white bronze Erynduth and you are The dragon said stepping into the candle light. He was big, bigger than most dragons Vale had seen, and he looked to be pernese. Erynduth's whole hide seemed to have this metallic white overlay. The front of his hide glittered bronze and his back end white, almost identical to Xenoyth besides the fact her back end was black.
Vale sighed in relief. He stared at the dragon for a moment then before thinking he blurted. "Are you a light?"
I guess that is what they would call me...but still I need to know who are you?
Vale smiled. He could use his full title, this dragon seemed to be alright. "I am vale son of Valor..." Vale said. "Valor is leader of Sanrix Cesparian." He added.
the dragons stood there a moment staring at Vale's white hair and deep blue eyes. What is a Sanrix?
Vale laughed. "It is like a Rayllomian Weyr. There is a Sanrixain, like your Weyrleader, a Sanrixess, like your Weyrwoman and of course we call wingleaders, wingleaders and so forth."
Rayllom huh? I thought that was a myth. It seemed quite interesting...all the stuff they say about it. Like how it has a sea that is completely sliver. The great bronze dragon let out something like a purr.I would love to go there sometime... Vale looked into the mighty bronzes' eyes they were swirling purpley white the color in dragon terms of love. Vale sighed. " Erynduth? Why are you down here all alone don't you have a rider or someone to take care of ya?"
The light bronze dragon's ears drooped. His eyes whirled again but in the color of loneliness a indescribable black grey color. I am what Ryslen calls and abandoned, I have no one...and I choose to be alone. To be honest I feel as if I didn't amount up to what my rider wanted and that is why she left me. I was born in the Ryslen winter flurry.
Vale felt a tear slide down his cheek. This was the saddest thing he'd ever heard and the dragon really felt as if it was his fault. Vale scratched his head, where he'd come from you could impress abandoned or at least try to. Somewhere deep within Vale's mind something clicked. " Erynduth...why don't I help you out..." the bronze dragon's ear pricked up again. "I mean you do fly right?"
Of course I fly!The white bronze dragon's voice rumbled into Vale's head. I would love to go with you Vale! Let us talk to Tiyanni. I have been waiting for you for a long time...
Vale smiled, Erynduth seemed to be happy and Vale knew he couldn't have had a better dragon. A bronze...but no ordinary bronze...a light bronze...
******************************************************
Vale patiently filled out the form the Weyrwoman of Ryslen, Tiyanni, watched over him. She needed his basic information: Name/Age/gender .... Vale sighed filling out the part on history and origin. He needed to be honest about this. When he came to the part that said rank/job Vale's heart fell. He knew the he, the leader of a gang of thieves could never ride such a noble honest bronze. Vale took a deep breath and pushed the paper silently towards Tiyanni. "I am sorry...but I do not want Eyrnduth to be abandoned twice, not that I would do such a thing, but he and I do not match. I am the leader of a gang of thieves and he is to honest and noble to result to a lowlife like me. Even if I was once a noble prince."
Tiyanni looked at him her eyes filled with understanding and a bit of sorrow. "I understand...you want the best for him..." Tiyanni said with a slight smile. "You would be a great dragonrider Vale..."
Vale smiled remembering the days when he would have been the nest Sanrixian if he could impress a bronze. "I will come back Tiyanni, after the clutch that Baeris has on her sands, I will come back and if you will let me I will stand her and try to imprint upon one of your dragons..."
Tiyanni smiled kindly. "You may...you do seem worthy enough." She winked. "By the way, the sands are over there." She said pointing to the large muddy brown sands. They where huge, huge enough for three greens to share them, which was what she was having them do right now.
"We could have never fit three greens on our sands, maybe our minor and major sands but never three on one. You are lucky to have this much room.."
**********************************************************
Vale walked into the healing den searching for Vainia, he wanted to tell her about Erynduth even if he wasn't his dragon, Vale would never forget that big bronze, he looked to much like his `ol dad's.
He found Vainia talking to a blonde elf. Vale glared at the elf, not out of spite but because he was flirting with His woman. "Hello Vainia..." He said plopping down next to her on a comfy couch in some far back room of the den.
"Vale!" She said hugging him tightly. He gasp, a little to tightly. "I was wondering if you were going to come to see the hatching! Baeris is quite nice though a little snappy...but she says the eggs are going to hatch soon!"
Vale grinned, soon was good. "What are you hoping to impress Vainia? Girl? boy? Bronze? gold?" He asked smiling when he noticed the elf glaring at him.
Vainia noticed the elf's glare also. "Vale this is Enlos, he's from Forest Edge." Vainia said. "And there's no way in the world that I could impress a gold or bronze...even a brown..." She said. "blue and green are good with me... I love sky, Sargon's son's dragon. Her name is Moriath and she is soo nice and very spiky."
"Forest Edge?" Vale asked he thought he'd be friendly, at least until 'Enlos' flirted with her again.
Enlos smiled kindly. "On the northern end of Azon, close to the Sea of Sabbar."
Vale nodded. "Right under Oiplia, next to the island chain of Fanitino if I'm not mistaken."
Vale glanced sideways at Vainia who spit out what ever she was drinking. "Vale....?" she asked staring at him with new curiosity.
Enlos grinned. "If I'm not mistaken that is not to far off from Cespar where Valor's son is acclaimed missing?"
Vale laughed at Vainia's wondering eyes. He leaned forward and shook Enlos' hand. "Vale, son of Valor ere to Sanrix Cesparian."
Enlos smiled. "I thought so.."
Vainia's eyes were full of fire. "You let me ramble on about Rayllomain technology and translated stuff for you...and...Vale..." she said.
"I don't like to talk about my past but since I met Erynduth a dragon that I could not impress, he was an abandoned at Ryslen I have learned to speak the truth and not hide my past. I am sorry Vainia, but I m the lost ere to the Cesparian throne. I am the son of the all powerful Valor, I am prince Vale.."
Vainia smiled. "Well you shouldn't have told me that now princey.." Her eyes gleamed evilly. "you should have told me that a looooooooong time ago..."
***********************************************************
It had seemed like forever since Tylar had convinced Vale to stay at Ryslen to imprint upon another dragon, and now the boy was begging to doubt himself. He knew that it would have been wrong to pursue Eryn, he was so good and pure, and Vale, Prince Vale of Cesparian was basically a gang leader, not a good match.
Vainia had imprinted on a lovely White called Jaath at the healing den, minutes after Vale had arrived to tell her about the bronze-white. (which he had been wrong in calling a light) Now she, Faquin and his girlfriend Cari where sitting boredly at Ryslen waiting for the eggs to hatch. So far Vale was the only one without a dragon and no one had heard much form Kilo lately, most just thought he kind of vanished.
"Vale?" The white-haired blue-eyed man whirled around to stare Vainia in the face. "Jaath says to inform you that the eggs are hatching." She said a innocent smile creeping along her face.
Vale grinned. "woo! Finally begin stood up at that last hatching was enough.." he said making his way towards the sands.
About a third of the way through, the uneasy feeling had settled at the pit of his stomach again. He turned to watch the eggs of Trikil's clutch hatch his back turned to a peculiar night-red who had just hatched. He lowered his haunches to the ground and readied himself to pounce, right on vale. "Not so fast Kentrenith." Vale spat whirling to catch the night red as he leapt at him.
Finally the prince of Cesparian had his own bond and not one meant for someone else. If only old Valor was still alive...
I hate that white she's so fricking perfect. What the heck si she doing with your Vainia? Kentrenith's raspy dark voice roared into Vale's head as he calmly tried to sit down to eat breakfast. It had been a long time since he had first come to Ryslen though his bond had the attitude of a Adult he was still only a fledging. He and Vainia had moved back to Rayllom along with Faquin and Cari, and a few other members of the two Rayllomain based gangs.
Faquin had been declared Wingleader and Vale Wingsecond by the Sargon of Azon, to head up a wing still in the process of making, called Honor of the Theives or something. Quite funny, the initials spelled 'hott'. "Are you making fun of my Vainia oh one who is tow big for his body?" Vale called back taking a sip of his coffee as he causally watched the sun rise over the silver sea to his left, his thought drifting back to Eryn.
Yes! In the name of Valor, Vale! She thinks she's queen of the world! Just because she's white. Oh my, since when have white's been declared queens? Ken hissed again stalking back and forth on the clean white sand his blood red-black body making an odd contrast between the silvering sea behind him and the rising red-orange sun.
"Tell that to Vainia and she'll smack you across the face." Vale laughed draining his coffee cup. As he arose to get more he caught a flicker of movement form behind him.
"Kentrenith has got to go. Jaath says he's way to annoying." Vainia's voice laughed form behind Vale as he poured more coffee. He turned to see her still half asleep, wearing a bath robe and clutching her stomach, swollen in 2 months pregnancy.
"Good morning sunshine.." He laughed pouring an extra mug for her, she looked like she needed it.
"I hate you, you know that. Couldn't wait until your dragon was old enough so me and Jaath could go through this together." She said thankfully taking the cup of hazelnut flavored coffee and taking a sip.
"Nope." Vale laughed patting her on the shoulder as he slipped back into his seat to her left, cautiously watching his night red. Funny how things worked out, Sargon said a light would have favored his looks, but Vale guessed a night suited his personality better.
He's just mean Vainia don't you worry. When I'm ready to fly that little rotten night red is going to sire some nice children to go along with yours. Jaath's icy voice drifted back to Vale making him smile.
Hell no! No way! I don't think so! Not Jaath Vale please pick someone lese...not her eck... Kentrenith pleaded mentally.
"Ken, ken, ken you have to learn to love her, she's got quite a personality.." Vainia said her blue eyes flashing dangerously.
Yeah. For a stupid white.. Jaath laughed.
