Everyone knew it was her. She was the first they expected but the last to go. They knew as soon as they laid eyes upon her preppy all-to-good appearances that underneath she was dirt cheap. She tired to hard but always came up on top. She dishonored her family and was locally know as a genuine whore. While preps got the good reputations and the college scholarships, she made them appear as they really are. Are for that she was hated.
They call him Vennom, a name that contradicted his personality hand for foot. Though he was not all goodie-goodie you can't be to be a skate, he was one of the 'Nice Ones'. He wasn't a 'Hardcore Goth'.
He stood 6'2 with a thin but attractive build. His eyes where the color of cold metal and could chill you just by looking at him. If you didn't know he was such a friendly person, those eyes would fill your mind with unpleasant thoughts. His hair was white as it gets, long and pulled back into a pony-tail. For some reason he liked it that way, though it threw off his skater look by a mile. He was pale, a all skates are but his skin had some color to it, for he was not one to stay locked up in the house all day.
She was Corvia, a name that basically meant poison in her native tongue of Rayllomian, and it fit her well for that was what she was. Anyone who even looked at her funny would find themselves in a world of hurt, for she had more than one man bending to her will.
She was 5'6 short but not overly short and built like a goddess. Her eyes where deep brown and if you stared into them you felt yourself whirling into her deep dark pool of hatred, never to return, never to see the light of day again. Her hair was dark brownish black, and hung in loose curls down to her shoulders. It gave her, her class, her snazz. It luxurious and rich, the hair any girl would die for, and she had bundles of it. Bundles and bundles of the curvy long chocolate colored stuff.
Appearances fool all...
The wind was foul that day, and he should have sensed it in the air that something was wrong. Something was terribly wrong. It whipped through the trees to meet him, blowing his long white hair out behind him like a cloak of majestic white as he looked down upon his school, his high school. The place that he spent most of his awake time. As he watched the sun paint it's final chords of pinky purple blue across the sky he sighed long and hard. He didn't know it yet, but the 2 quizzes he had today weren't the only things he had to worry about.
Kicking the back of his skateboard he hoped onto it and began to glide easily down the cement sidewalk towards the high school being careful not to be seen by anyone in the school. Heaven forbid if he got caught, skateboards of any kind where forbidden, even the old human powered ones like the one he rode on today.
As the wind whipped his hair into his face Vennom angrily pulled it back into a very sloppy ponytail, almost knocking the small pink f'lizard that crouched on his shoulder off. She squawked angrily eyes whirling bloody-red and nibbled his ear. "Oh sorry Shafreaka, I totally forgot.." He laughed patting the little Ryslen born f'lizard on the head. Shafreaka, what a name for a fire lizard. What a name for anything come to think. But 'Freaka was very important to Vennom, she was a life he had to care for something to nurture and take care of. And though Vennom claimed to have no paternal instincts, everyone knew that if anything happened to that tiny pink he'd up and die.
Shafreaka tucked her pink crested head back under her head and went back to bed. It was early, to early for anyone to be up. Around 4:00 AM Earth time, and school didn't start until noon. So what the heck was Vennom doing there this early? The same reason 4 others guys where waiting for him as he zoomed in on his old school skateboard, face flushed red from the wind. "Hey guys." He said in his medium to deep voice that was all to sweet for a guy. "Where's the new girl that you where talking about?"
The guy standing in the middle, with black hair and an eyebrow piercing responded. "She should be here.." His voice was short and raspy, as if he had lost it a long time ago and never found it again. He was dressed in all black with black hair with an odd white stripe down the center and unfriendly blue eyes that searched you when you looked into them. "It's your turn Vennom. You're the newest member to join so your gonna have to take her. She's a girl so she'll probably be extra afraid." His cold face twisted into a half-hearted smile as the last words echoed dully from his mouth.
Vennom cringed, the thought of it made him sick in the pit of his stomach. It was a tradition but he strongly disliked it if not hated it. It was kind of fun to watch the people scream and squirm, but still, it just wasn't right. Despite his inner feelings he grinned along with the 'skunk man'. "Yeah I'll really get her going if I tell her all the ooga-booga stuff huh?" He laughed, His voice wasn't as hallow as the rest of the gang cantering along with him.
"Right then." The skunk said clapping his ringed hands together and looking at the other 3 or so teenage boys. "We'll go and get everything ready you wait here." He glanced back up at Vennom, blue eyes going as cold as possible. "And Venn, be very careful...they saw she's not as human as she looks."
Vennom nodded though clueless what the skunk man had meant. Not as human as she looks? Right. He pried a sleeping Shafreaka off his shoulder and gave her to one of the other men. "If she gets hurt I'll track you down and kill you. Just leave in the science room, third door in the fourth hallway on the bottom level. She'll be fine until school starts." The boy who didn't look to happy to have had to shuffle the slightly annoyed little fanged critter off nodded meekly and went into the building with the other 2, skunk man and another guy with blue hair.
So they left him all alone in the very early morning, with only his skateboard for company. Sitting down on the top side of his old school skate board, but stopping briefly to admire the picture with a silver-white dragon imprinted on the front Vennom wondered how long he would have to wait here. An hour, two? Well he didn't have to wait long because before he even finished sitting down he glanced up at the most incredibly beautiful, but also cheapest woman he had ever seen.
She stared at him with her deep brown eyes searching. He wasn't like her that was for sure; he was young, human, fresh. His blood unspoiled by later knowledge. No, it had taken her a dear long time but now before her in the most unusual place sat the perfect man. And he was hers for the taking. But not now, oh no, never ever would she do it now. She'd take her dear time in doing it and once she did he would be begging for her. If she didn't... He was a man and men to turn out to be stronger when they are 'inducted'. If the evil plan now forming in Corvia's mind where to work, she would need the precious essence of time in her favor.
But was held her was his eyes, gray and misty, unreadable. Those surely weren't human eyes? She hadn't seen a human in a good deal of time with those eyes. The last one was around the beginning of the dark age, Garth, and he truly wasn't as human as some fore took him. She glanced away not wanting to know any more, she needed a challenge anyway, she was growing bored with the same `ol routine. So as she sauntered towards him, sizing him up he stared up at her, taken by her ageless beauty.
"Why surely you are not that an who looks like a skunk now?" She said in her silk coated voice practically making the poor boy drool all over himself. "No, you couldn't be. He was much much uglier. You, now you on the other hand..." She grinned being sure to conceal the pair of twin fangs beneath her blood red lips.
He stood up slowly form his skateboard still unable to speak, mouth hanging half open. "No." he squeaked then cleared his throat, Has this man ever been flirted with before? Corvia thought to herself as she watched him raise to his full height. Oh yes she defiantly have to be weary and watch her every move, he was a good deal taller and stronger than her...physically. "No. I'm Vennom. I don't have a clue where skunk and the other are. They told me 4 sharp I'm here." He shrugged looking utterly clueless. But Corvia smelled something fishy. Why had the skunk personally invited her if he planned to ditch?
"Really?" She said sticking out her lip and deciding to go along with his little ploy. Why shouldn't she? It would be some fun...
Really," Vennom replied, unable to help his eyes as they slid towards the overly large slit in her red low-low cut overly tight shirt. He'd never seen someone as intoxicatingly beautiful as her, even if she was dressed a little cheaply. Ok a lot cheaply, but hey-Vennom was a guy. "Anyway. They said to meet them in the band room, but before we go in I should warn you." He put on his most serious face, trying his hardest not to crack up as he held out his hand for hers. She glanced at it and took her, and as she did he almost melted on the spot. Her skin was smooth as velvet but cold to the touch.
Fighting to regain control of his senses he tried his best to continue on with the 'legend of the duchense ghost'. "There's this ghost and he haunts the school. They say he was a one of those nerdy kids who no one liked." He lead her towards the school, feeling sort of light headed, just at her touch. As he kicked open the doors and lead her in first she huddled closer towards him. The dim lighting bounced off her face and caught on her eyes, which where wider than usual. All going according to plan, the darkness factor had kicked in. And Skunk had been right, she was more afraid. But Vennom doubted it was because of her sex.
Continuing with the story as he slowly edged her farther into the building he spoke: "And there was this one teacher everyone hated one of those imports from a funked up earth. A vampiress right?" He glanced down at the girl who was clinging onto his arm nervously looking back and forth. "and well this vampires had it out for this kid, I don't know some odd reason or something.." He said trying his best not to smile. "And well she killed him in this school and he still haunts-"
BAM. A locker mystically shut three feet away from the pair as they walked down the hallway. Vennom turned sideways to hide his smile.
Corvia was trying her hardest to act like she was scared. And it was working quite well. But she didn't' care as long as she got to huddle up to this rather handsome young man she was happy. And indeed he was handsome, just his hair...it had to go. That would be the first thing on her list. Hair then maybe, get rid of his earring. The skater thing was working for her, but piercing just totally turned her off.
Clutching his arm and jumping back as another locker slammed she listened intently to the story. Vampiress? She might know the kid. "Yeah and this vampire was killed her too, by one of this dude's friends. They say he stabbed her right through the heart.."
At that Corvia had to control the immediate restraint to bust up laughing, kill a vampires with a simple blade? I think not. Though how drinks blood for life cannot be killed by her own. She only clung to his arm tighter a smirk creasing her lips, invisible in the dark. She turned to her right, just as something ugly and dark flew past her face. Shocked but not taken by surprise she let out a fake scream and covered her hands with her eyes.
But in a flash this guy, who was turning out to be all the more easy to lure into her trap was soothing her. "Just don't scream, it riles them up more." He dropped his voice and stared her straight in the face. "I promise no one will touch you." He nodded and waited until he turned back around, all going according to plan.
All going according to plan. Almost out of the building, they where on the homestretch, rounding the last of the hallways. But he wished that their was another like 20 hallways, this girl was totally clinging to him and she was incredibly beautiful. Thinking about it, he continued forth being brought back to realization by the fact that Skunk dude had just popped out in front of them and the girl he was with was shrieking. She slid her arms around him and closed her eyes tightly. "Omigoodness Omigoodness..." She said.
If the skunk had not been standing only a few feet away from him, Venn would have melted right then and there. Unable to speak he stammered and stuttered finding himself in a world of odd pleasure.
"Ah. We got you good." Skunk said walking up towards the pair and pulling off he ugly battered mask from his face. The girl pulled her head up from where it had been buried in Venn's shirt and starred at the skunk.
"You creeps you had me totally fooled!" She said looking as if she was about to chase the black-white haired man down the hall and kick his ass.
Which she would of, if Vennom had not been behind her. She'd suck the life out of that skunk freak faster than you can say 'pepé la pue'. Why? Just for the spite of it, she of course wasn't scared or even phased by this so called ooga-booga, but she went along with it anyway, just to seem innocent. "Jerk." She muttered still clinging to Vennom.
She noticed another two guys walk up to stand besides the skunk, both who where dressed like idiotic morons who had an ever lasting bad hair day. "So what's your name?" Skunk asked and even though it was dark Corvia could his a flush tint his normally pale cheeks.
"They call me Coriva, I'm the daughter of Moria by Lestat. And you are?" She said rather harshly sick of petty talking. She wanted more time alone with Vennom to work her dark magic, to twine it into every fiber of his being until the time came and he was ready to be taken. She already had him drooling, but drool wasn't merely as good as blood.
"Corvia? Wow, that's really pretty." He said. Corvia frowned with disgust, yuck, yuck yuck. Be more cautious, he was one of this guy's friends, if she killed him off..... "My friends call me skunk."
"I can see why." She said bitterly looking him up and down quickly as someone flicked on the lights. Fluorescent lighting and color poured all over the room, filling every last inch of the school. It looked rather creepy with out the entire student body flooding the halls and constantly chattering. Though the light was a bit dim, it burned Corvia's skin, a white hot pain that covered her entire body.
She stumbled backwards almost falling if the white haired boy hadn't been there to catch her and as the light burned at her she pulled him towards her glaring into his eyes. Get me out of the light. Her mental voice called, bending his will to fulfill her own. It was to bright every thing was whirling around her, if she didn't get far far away from here very very soon...
The next thing Vennom knew he was sitting in a very dark room, somewhere he had never been before next to a bed covered in blood-red sheets. His head felt very heavy and ached as if he had taken to much advil and his he was totally at a loss for where he was. There was some one on the bed, the girl that he had met earlier. Yes, it was her, though she looked even paler and weaker than she had before. Wondering how he and her had ended up alone at night he began to get worried, and it all came rushing back to him in a flash. She had pretty much...fainted when the lights came on? And told him to take here somewhere. That's when it got cloudly. He couldn't remember a thing form that and then on.
Lights? Lights had thrown her off? Vennom arched a silent eyebrow staring at the maiden as she lay between the thing red sheets. Lestat? He had only known one Rayllomain ever to be named that. And he was the cruelist vampire to ever walk the face of Rayllom?
Vennom, who was naturally nice and somewhat blind to the obvious guy, didn't make the connection Corvia=vampiress. Instead he ended up with Corvia=poor girl who was sired by a beast. But that was Vennom, trusting poor little white haired skate.
"What time is it?" the question snapped him back to reality. He glanced up at Corvia who still had managed somehow to obtain her mesmerizing looks despite the fact that she had just woken up and was staring him straight in the face. He blinked unable to pull himself form her gaze, those eyes, they just got to him. "Hun, it's a simple question I need a simple answer.."
"Um.." He glanced at his wristwatch. "Around 10:30 at dark.." He said eyes flickering back up to her. ((dark is the Rayllomain word for night and light is for day))
She sighed and shook her head. "your such a sweet guy.." She began something dangerous flickering in her eyes as she leaned forward and scoot towards him, a bit too much of her cleavage showing from underneath that slinky top. As she leaned forward about 5 inches away from his face he glanced nervously down at his feet. He had never had a real girlfriend and was always really shy around women.
"Really...I'm not.." He replied looking up only momentarily to catch her deep chocolate eyes with his unreadable silver ones. He should have known right then and there that she was up to something, but he was so trusting, so caring.
So weak. Corvia would straighten him up in no time at all. And it looked as if she would need more time with him under her control than less. She knew what she had to do, and she only needed to lure him into to, subtlety, but forcefully. He was her chosen, the one she had picked out of thousands of men to be hers. And he was perfect for the job. Let's just say Corvia didn't switch her schools because of a chance for better education. Oh no, she had known about him, that's why. But when she met him, she was even more pleased. "Your not trying to tell me that someone like you is a bad boy like those others skaters?" She leaned even closer to him swinging out her legs in front of her so that if she would have fallen she would have landed right in his lap.
"Bad? Oh I'm not bad...i think.." He said, his face flushing red as he looked her up and down, quickly but not unobvious. Corvia had him in her grasp, and she knew it.
Grinning rather devilishly, her bright red lips parted to echo a small but cute laugh. "Your not a baddie hon. Definitely not a baddie." The same something demonic and evil light up her eyes again as she spoke: "But honey I am. I'm a very, very naughty girl."
"Naughty?" Vennom choked suddenly wordless as she slid down onto his lap and slipped her arms around his neck. "Hey wait didn't you, you just passs o-out?" He whispered his voice failing him as a bead of sweat fell from his forehead.
No woman had ever made such an advance on him and he was afraid that he was showing it all to clearly. But it was clear to him as he sat there in the old tattered red-maroon recliner that she wasn't going to back off no matter how hard he tried. Visions of his parents flickered through his head what they'd say and do if they found out what was going on. There warnings, there intuitions. They definitely wouldn't like this...
"I'm all better now though. Thanks to you Vennom..." She whispered only a few inches away from his ear. It was rather odd, Venn had never remembered giving her his name.
But it was too late to find out how she knew it, For Corvia had planted a kiss right on his lips and the young 17 year old boy wasn't going to fight it. It was the most amazing sensation he had ever felt and he didn't have to think twice before admitting he liked it. And he couldn't believe his luck, this amazing girl who seemed to have dropped out of nowhere was giving him his first official kiss.
But wait? Isn't it a little odd she'd pick him, the most un-girl prone guy? But his suspicions faded as quickly as they had come, for he had been chosen though he knew it not, as Corvia's. And as she slid her crimson lips from his, to his neck he realized it to late.
* * *
The sun arose on the horizon, casting shades of yellow and pink onto the rather snooty uppity town of Readen, in eastern Hale, far off from the intellectually advanced mall society of Solaria. Casting it's life giving rays onto the 'high classed' villagers. But one young man was not in his bed, he was far off in the middle of the woods, alone with only one other, a vampiress.
He opened one silver eye and found that he felt rather odd. Like his lungs had collapsed, he tried to suck in air but hacked and coughed until they where back to the way they had been. Wheezing like a fooling he looked around and found himself in someplace he didn't remember going too. It was pitch black and he couldn't make out where he was, it never got this dark in his room back at home. Visions of his parents flickered back into his head, along with visions of the night before. A smirk crossed hi face in the darkness unnoticed by all but himself, he had lost his virginity to a goddess, wait till he told the skunk.
After not breathing for almost 30 minutes he began to get worried, he dared not try and speak, in fear of having another coughing spell, but he also wondered where the hell he was. Cautiously opening his eyes wide and feeling around he found that he indeed was in a bed, and as he felt the sheets, he noticed they where oddly wet, as if something had been spilled on them. Sliding off and reaching out in front of himself, trying to find a light switch or something, he tripped over the end of a table and couldn't help but yell: "Shit-okie mushrooms." As loud as possible.
Well his lungs hadn't collapsed, he could still speak, but he didn't need to breathe. Odd, he wondered if this happened to everyone after their first time. But he needn't think any further, for the darkness was broken, or at least dulled by someone swinging open a door.
The thin frame of Corvia was barely visible but Venn was surprised to find that he could make it out with absolute clarity, and in such detail. She was wearing his boxers along with an old tee shirt. And when she caught his flustered glance she grinned, a pair of white fangs glinting in the dull lighting. "You sleep well?" She asked walking towards him in such a way that she looked to be floating.
"Um....you have fangs... and I can't breathe." He choked again, totally confused for once in his usually stable life. Wordlessly she pushed him backwards so that he fell back onto the bed, sliding because of the odd substance that covered it. She raised one extremely pale hand and ran it over his mouth. He felt a sharp prick and low and behold inside his mouth his tongue found a pair of unusually sharp fangs, that he was positive weren't there the night before.
"So do you." She said, a sad look crossing her face. "I don't think your going to like this Vennom. But you are my chosen, I have picked you and even though you don't know it I know that you remember." She said in a silent serious voice that she rarely used. And when she did, it was a complete urgent matter, she would never lie to someone as important as he was.
"Chosen?" He asked still amused by the pair of white fangs that caressed the inside f his mouth, a benefit of the dark gift she had bestowed upon him.
She nodded and rose to her feet walking walk over to the door and flicking on a very dim light. The walls suddenly glinted and came alive showing everything in the room, except for the two humanoids. The walls and event eh door where made out of glass, they where mirrors and no matter how hard or how she longed Corvia could no longer see herself in those utter glass concoctions. She had faded totally into the darkness.
But Vennom's reflection had only just begun to fade, it would take another 100 years to be totally gone, but he needn't worry, she could look after him, just as she planned to have him look after her. "What the?" the white haired man said jumping up from where he sat completely horrified. But he had not seen the reflection, he had just noticed the pool of his own blood left on the bed form the night before. He glanced at Corvia fear flickering through his eyes.
"It's yours hon." She said crossing the room in a single step and taking hold of his arm to stop him from doing anything stupid. Do not trouble yourself with petty things. Blood may be what the mortals need to survive but now my love, you are one of us and one of us you shall remain. Her mental voice crooned to him, stopping him dead in his tracks.
He glanced at her fear still clearly visible underneath his silver coated eyes, but mixed with something else, almost unreadable, satisfaction was it? "You mean to tell me, that you and now me...we're...vampires?"
"You are a vampire. I am a vampiress." She said staring up at him with the only hope she could muster, it was brutally important that he accept this, if he fought it, well there wasn't much hope, he'd die of the lack of blood sooner or later. "You won't need to eat for at least a day or two.." She said calmly as his face went pale. I only drained the blood from you I needed too...And trust me Vennom you'll have to for I didn't take one sip of your blood for like I have told you my chosen I will be here to help you if you need me.
He glanced back down at her, the fear faded or at least hidden in his icy stare. "does it kill them?" He asked, his voice failing him again.
"Only if you completely drain them.." She said her eyes revealing some of her enjoyment of the sick art. Vennom had never had a taste for blood, well at least things that had blood in them, like undercooked meat and such. Now he had to drink it just to survive? This was going to be bad, very bad. "If you only take a little, then they'll wake up feeling rather odd, unbalanced, but their bodies will produce more soon enough, but the memory of you will linger forever in there heads.."
"I'm not killer Corvia.." Venn said. She nodded. "And what's this about being chosen?"
A born vampiress I was allowed to chose one man to turn into a vampire. Her choice but she only gets one, and if he's the wrong choice both of them die the instant he drains his first victim. But this man ahs to be special someone she can train someone that she can rely on.. Her mental voice wavered. >Someone who can love her even though they barely know her, someone trusting and handsome and not afraid to do the impossible. That is why I picked you Vennom for you are perfect, and though you know me little I have watched you for days and have grown already t love your soul though it is quite the opposite of mine. She broke her eyes away from his, and suddenly took an interest in the floor.
Vennom blinked unable to think of an immediate response, he was at a loss for words. No girl more or less woman of her glory had ever even had a slight crush on him. He was clueless as a newborn bird trying to fly when mother was away. "Did you say handsome?" He croaked suddenly finding his voice again. You must have got the wrong guy..."
"I am sure I haven't." She said a smile crossing her lips in the dim lighting. "But I must warn you, for right now you are shaping up just the way I knew you would. Begin a vampire is not a very...clean thing. It is the art of killing and being a killer the art of brining the will of the gods earlier than they might intend" As she spoke her eyes darkened.
Vennom glanced at her confused, but unaware that he wouldn't know what she was talking about yet, for he was still a mortal, a living breathing mortal though he knew it not. Corvia's eyes locked upon his and there was nothing but demanding hatred in them. "It is time Vennom you cannot wait like this, until you have completed your change you will be unable to breathe and if you do not breathe you die, human or vampire. "
Before he could protest Corvia slid her arms around him calming him instantly. Her coco eyes meeting his holding him in a half trance. He stared blankly unsure of what to do, unsure if he could do anything, all he knew was that since he had awoken, he hadn't felt good at all. His head pound, there was a terrible ache in his back and he was loosing consciousness quickly.
It was for the best, the faster he transformed the resistant he became to 'human' vampire traits; unable to look at lights, garlic, wooden stakes and even fire. He was in a sickening stage, he was dying. At least his mortal body was dying, but once his body rid itself of needless fluids he would be fine, and just as much of a killer as her. He may be a sweetheart but he was as fierce as she, she had seen that in him before, when she had watched him battle.
"Listen to me.." She said holding his head in her hands and forcing him to remain conscious. His silver eyes sliding unnaturally into the back of his head. They feel forward and glimpsed at her briefly before rolling backwards again. "I'm going to drain you to the point of death, but then I will make you a vampire a complete one." He shut his eyes unable to concentrate and nodded, wisely.
There was no turning back now, darkness had taken grasps on him and if he died he wouldn't be allowed to live with Zealtella and all her glory, he would die half immortal and that is literally forbidden and only possible at one cause. Corvia wanted him, she had been lonely for so long, he was the one and she was sure of it he could be a good companion to the daughter of the vampires. He would be a good one.
Though she looked around 18 she was over 30 hundred years old and her time on this planet had given her quite a reputation. She was known as a bloodthirsty killer, a sickening type of vampire. Truly the heir of Lestat. She lured her victims into trusting her,. befriending her, even loving her before she took them, and that was a sickening thing to do, unless of course you enjoy the thrill of being pure evil. And her heart was darkened by evil and evil only, good had never existed in the life.
He was fading quickly, she knew it was know or never. Letting his pre weakened body slump onto the ground she slid behind him and held him tightly in her unnaturally strong vampire's grasp, He let out a very low moan and his head lolled about unnaturally. Pressing her lips to his neck, as gently as she could she bit down puncturing his jugular vein and sucking up the blood that he had left in him. It hurt, she knew it hurt, she had been though the same thing, It takes a vampire to make a vampire.
Vennom was dying, he knew it, but at least so with him. What was this she said about final transformation? How could he transform if her was dead? Just when he knew he could take no more Corvia withdrew from his neck and drew from somewhere behind him a knife. He eyed it cautiously and the dull thought in the back of his mind not really caring screamed it's over it's over it's over! Repeatedly.
Cringing expecting the cold steel of the blade to slit open his skin he waited, but felt nothing. "Vennom venom.." Corvia's voice drifted into him waking him from his half death. "Drink." She demanded holding his own blood dripping wrist to him and sliding the other arm tightly around his chest.
He pulled away and felt renewed rejuvenated the cloudy dreariness of death passing quickly filled with a new abundant sense of life. "It is done then love,.." Coriva's voice whispered to him, her lips not far off from his neck. "It will take another good month for your fangs to fully develop but we must ride you of your humanity.." Her voice was weaker than normal and her grasp had been shaken.
Vennom nodded, not understanding what she meant but he was anxious he wanted out. He wanted to be free, see the night sky and do what the vampires do. He wanted to kill. The lust of it ran hot in his veins filled with Corvia's blood. He wanted more of it, to sustain him, he needed more and more of it.
Corvia grinned wrapping a cloth around her arm to stop the bleeding, her blood had mixed with what was left of his, and the temptation to kill was over whelming him, mentally and physically. "Your hungry?" She teased eyes glinting in the dim light. "Then we shall hunt. Come discover your other powers Vennom, for the night is still young." She pulled herself up so quick only the immortal could see it happen, to mortals it merely looked like magic, foolish trickery.
He walked cautiously over to her, rather cat like, his silven eyes gleaming brightly as he eyed her wrist. The back and shoulders of his pale white undershirt and his long black slackers where stained crimson, for he unknowingly had slept in a pool of his own blood, and the front of his face was smeared with it. He looked more demonic than Corvia had ever tried to pull off but it came more natural to her than it did him, she had noticed the way he had tried to refuse her, when she saved him from death.
"Hunt?' He asked eyebrows twisting up in confusion, a mortal habit that would soon be dropped. Corvia nodded her brown eyes never leaving his. "We hunt humans?" His face, just beginning to gain it's unnatural gleaming white color twisted into another mortal look, disgust.
"Don't be a fool love. If you don't kill you die." She said taking his hand and leading him out the doorway, her eyes gleaming like cat's. Though weakened from completing Vennom's intuition she was excited and ready, ready for the kill. It was what she strove on what had kept her alive for the past 200 hundred years.
The law of the jungle kill or be killed, Vennom guessed feeling his forehead bead up with sweat. This would not be good, oh no this would be horrible. With his free hand the other in Coriva's, he dabbed at his blood smeared lips. The salty sweet taste still lingered in his mouth and he craved more, more of the life giving substance know to the mortals as blood. But whatever of him still remained human, was fighting him, swords drawn and banner flying it would not be silenced with a mere wave of the hand. He couldn't drink blood! Of another human? And the human had to die? Oh no this would be bad, bad, bad, bad venn! What did you get yourself into?
Be was pulled out of his musing by Corvia jerking his hand slightly and guiding him out of the door and into the hallways of a house that was foreign to him. They lights where bright and stung his eyes, but was it only because he had been in dim lighting? "Coriva?" He asked she turned to him her attention fixed on him, but her mind wandering elsewhere. "There are lights. How come we aren't melting?"
She laughed, a dull metallic sound that bounced off the walls and echoed through the room, filling it with prenatural demonic voice. "Ah....that old bullshit. Vennom, stakes through the heart, garlic, lights, crosses? It's all bullshit. You cannot be killed or even injured by that crap. Ok maybe you'd bleed if they stabbed you through the heart but no it's all bull. The only way you can be killed is by being caught in the sunrise. We can walk by day and night, just be wary o the sunrise..." She laughed again her shrill voice filling the room once more.
"Oh." Vennom said feeling a bit stupid, he had a feeling there was a lot he had to leanr, and he would have been right if he asked. But he kept quiet, he wanted to see what she was up to. "now watch and learn young one, or as we would call you fledglings." She lead him down a maroon painted hallway and into room that looked like it had been pulled form a 19th century medieval painting of Europe on Earth.
The carpet was a luxurious cream color and the walls were painted the same crimson maroon as the hallways with a white trim edging the carpet. Their where thick red-gold patterned drapes letting in only a little of the mid-morning sunlight, and they where bond back by gold hued rope-like things. The furniture was deep purple red and looked comfortable to sit in with it's big stuffed cushions and velvety backs.
Corvia looked back at him and catching his slacked jawed wonder smirked, showing her two very sharp and very white enlarged canines. "Just because we're the damnation of the gods doesn't mean we have to live like we're in hell.." Again with the metallic laughter.
Vennom glanced back at her from where she stood in front of him, she was much smaller in size but she was so much mentally stronger than he, and he knew just by looking at her for the short period of time that he had been with her that she was indeed his superior. Maybe it was the way she held herself, or maybe in the way she looked at him, but it was obvious that she was more powerful than she seemed. A volcano waiting to erupt.
Corvia turned away from him and is unreadable eyes, she wished he was like any other guy she had ever met, readable when it comes to their feelings. But his eyes, they frustrated her, as if he where doing the reading and not she. Well it had seemed he had gotten a taste of who would be in charge in this relationship, but she needed to enforce her more, back it up. Show him that even though she was smaller and possibly weaker looking, she was indeed ten times as strong as a stupid mortal, with the metal knowledge of one who ahs walked the earth for centuries.
She grabbed up a small metal triangular object that lay on the end table in front of her crimson-violet sofa. She pushed the top down and watched it spin up to form a light blue tinted hologram of a man dressed to be a waiter. He blinked and with life like realisty he said in a calm monotone voice: "Hello m'lday. How may I be of assistance?"
Standard Rayllomain 'phone.' Corvia put on her sweetest most innocent voice and answered: "why I would like some breakfast, whatever the house is serving and gets some for my friend her too, he is just as famished as I am." She smiled those crimson lips taunting Vennom from where he stood. She could feel his want for her stirring the air, but she was sure he was unaware of it, there was much to teach him and little time.
"Right away m'lady." The waiter said and the holo-phone clicked and the thin blue hologram of the man vanished form the air. "Now we wait." Corvia said sliding down into one of the chairs and gesturing for Vennom to do so, he did but with cautious eyes, as if it might jump up and bite him. "Don't be foolish young one." She said her eyes never leaving his. "I'm not going to hurt the one I waited a hundred ears for." Her voice was patient but underneath their was a slight irritance.
Looking very uncomfortable Vennom slid down into he chair across from her and looked around, wide eyed and innocent as a new born lamb. Corvia could relate, she remembered when her father had first turned her into a vampire. But those where days long forgotten, she had suffered much and killed many. After the two thousandth death she lost count of the mortals she had killed. She was no longer innocent, she was a ruthless killer, just as ruthless as her father.
No, she could never been as 'evil' as he was. Even though she and he killed more for mere sport than for life, she killed people out of vengeance, he for the sheer fun. But she had her reasons to hate him and all he was worth, but those she kept locked away in her mind for the time being, she had a fledging to deal with now and he needed looking after.
Or he'd turn into a mindless zombie, like the vampires of earth, who wander around their minds only focusing on the killing of mortals...
