He has initiated and has been a member of various blues and R&B bands: Tel Aviv Chicago Blues Band, Roy Young and the Blue Notes , The FunkyBlu Band  and The Delta Trio.


Professional training - Dr. Ariel has conducted training programs, courses and workshops in his areas of specialization for professionals and para-professionals in various universities and insitutes in Israel, The Netherlands, Denmark, Norway, Ireland, Russia  and the USA. See for instance

Lay training - Dr. Ariel also offers workshops for various publics that do not belong to the mental health and helping professions, in areas such as interpersonal communication, culturally sensitive communication, materialization of dreams, songwriting, African , African American and Celtic music
