Originally from Grand Rapids, Minn., Jayson moved to Sartell in June 2005, along with his wife, Jennifer. Jayson works for ING by day and as a freelance hockey journalist by night.
He is a 1999 graduate of the University of Minnesota Duluth where he played baseball and helped claim an NSIC regular-season championship in his senior season. Since graduating, Jayson has enjoyed amateur playing stints in Class A with the Metro Merchants, Class B with the Hamel Hawks, and now Class C with the Muskies. Prior to graduation, Jayson played amateur ball in northern Minnesota with the now-defunct Warba Knights, a team he co-founded as a high school senior. |
