"THE VIOLIN" by MaRi LaPoema As I sat there on the pew Listening to her violin as she drew Every note instilling in my heart It was only the start The next song she played was even more inflamed Playing Battle Hymn of the Republic, intoned With every man, woman & child, His truth marching on With every Glory, Glory, Hallelujah, Everyone stood up, with faces of "awe" She sure knew how to play that violin No doubt about it, everyone with a grin My heart gave a thumb & electrifying tingles Ran down my spine with the magnifying jingles Clapping with enthusiasm with each played chord She bowed and gave thanks to the Lord WoW!!!! I said to myself, "That was Wonderful" I've never heard such a sound so heavenly beautiful!! fin |
