Now some people will go about this differently. But I always feel that if you create a character don't just give them some basics like how they look, give them some "meat".
I always find when you have a character who has a backstory or has reasosn for acting the way they do, or you can name members of their family etc. It is so much easier to RP as there is something to fall back on. Your character is brought more to life on the screen.
Below are some templates you can pick up and use as guidelines to help make up your own character and generaly help you to get thinking - not all the spaces have to filled in. But this is a general template which will help make your character from 2D to 3D =p
