Does Melaleuca use organic ingredients?
YES
Melaleuca uses THE BEST of Science and Nature. What does that mean?
Melaleuca only buys its plants/ingredients from farms that do not use pesticides. Organic/pesticide free farms. The reason they are not Certified Organic themselves ( meaning Melaleuca the company) is because they can never be 100% sure that a neighboring farmer of one of their chosen farms is not using pesticides so in order not to be liable they do not claim that everything is 100% without pesticides. They do state that they ONLY buy from farms who DO NOT use pesticides on their crops.Certified Organic means a specific Method of farming. It can vary from state to state but even Certified Organic products can have some trace pesticides.
Next all of Melaleuca ingredients go through a STRICK cleaning process and then they use the fruit/vegtable extracts.
As per the Science part. Melaleuca DOES NOT use anything that has been proven to be a carcinogen. They spend millions of dollars on re-search and develoment. If they find something is of concern they will pull it and not use it.
I am proud that our comapny is so adament about its ingredients. And if they were not they would not have won so many awards. :D
Sometimes customers get caught up in scrutinizing Melaleucas products but they do not take the time to do the real re-search and they also do not scrutinize other companies in most cases. Our job is to show them what Melaleuca does do and what they stand behind and thats excellant quality ingredients.
