Welcome!
The sun was shining on the sea,
Shining with all his might:
He did his very best to make
The billows smooth and bright--
And this was odd, because it was
The middle of the night.
The moon was shining sulkily,
Because she thought the sun
Had got no business to be there
After the day was done--
"It's very rude of him," she said,
"To come and spoil the fun!"

"The time has come," the Walrus said,
"To talk of many things:
Of shoes--and ships--and sealing-wax--
Of cabbages--and kings--
And why the sea is boiling hot--
And whether pigs have wings."

I was born in the midwest US and moved to California after high school. The ocean is much more visible in California than the midwest, therefore, I liked it better there. After moving multiple times, getting married and divorced, and becoming a single mom, I eventually found myself back in the midwest. The closest thing I have to the ocean here is the Missouri River, so it's a bit unfulfilling!

I spend most of my free time hanging out with my daughter. She's nearly 16 now and will stop hanging out with me soon (especially since she's "discovered" boys, and started driving.. EEK!), so I'll enjoy it while I can.

I am a telecom analyst, part-time student, and sometimes help as a Sunday school teacher. I have a degree in music theory, spent 2 years in pharmaceutical school, and am currently a poli sci major with a minor in religion. I love music of all kinds (except country.. and probably rap) and play clarinet, flute, sax and a little bass guitar. I'm dabbling in photography & fractal art. You can view my gallery if you're bored. Check out my daughter's too. She wants to be a photographer some day, and I think she's pretty great at it now!

A former Roman Catholic, I became an Orthodox Christian on December 12, 1999. My saint is Katherine of Alexandria. My daughter and I are learning Greek, and I had the great fortune of spending two weeks in Greece. It was absolutely amazing, and I hope to visit again.

I would love to tell you more (like how much I miss my best friend who lives in Greece), but I'm boring myself, so I must stop. I hope you had a lovely stay!

God, the sea is so great,
And my boat is so small.
Help me, I pray.
