The Saturn Hate E-mails From People
These are the hate e-mails that I have recieved from miscelaneous people. My comments will be those in bold

I can see why you would complain about the Saturn you got, but I have a 1996 Saturn and I love it. I haven't any problems with it that I wouldn't have had with another car (repairing the muffler for example). It's actually better than any other car that I have ever encountered. I am very pleased with the car as well as with the Saturn dealership here in Northwest Indiana where I live. The people at this dealership have done nothing but bend over backwards to be nice to me the few times I have had to go there. They are so nice that you would think they were
robots programed to be that nice and polite at all times. I would try to covince you to go Saturn another shot (because you can't judge all the Saturn cars by just one car that you had-which is true for any type of car), but I think you're probably too much of a hater considering you have the website.
Now, I have had the car serviced by Saturn several times, and everytime I took it there, there was something new wrong with the car. It is just my opinion. I will never purchase a Saturn again. I never got any help from their Customer Service department.
Michelle
P.S. In case you don't know the golden rule, I will remind you of it --- Treat others the way you would like to be treated. Maybe the people at the Saturn dealership where you went weren't so nice to you because you weren't so nice to them -- when you bitch people out, they don't tend to be so nice to you. Any negative treatement that you got from them you probably deserved because of what you dished out to them.
Hey, I live by the golden rule. I treat others with great respect, the way that I would like to be treated. When I start feeling like I got screwed, which is how I felt after being to the Saturn garage several times costing me over $1500 for repairs, that is when I start getting upset.

You bought a seven year old used car and exspected to it to be as new? How many miles were on the car when you bought it?
Well, I expected it to run properly. After getting $1,200 of piston work done on it, plus a couple hundered dollars in minor repairs, I'ld hope it would run. Then I recieved an attitude from the Saturn employees when I did not want to spend another $1,000+ to put a new engine in the car.

What do you expect from a car that is 10 years old. You can't be that much of a moron to expect it to run like it is brand new can you?
Well, lets see here...I expect the car to run! Especially after $1,200 worth of engine work done to it. I don't want to have to do that much work to a car, then turn around and have to put a brand new engine in the f---ing thing! Sorry for the swearing, but this subject really gets me going. Everyone thinks that they are so smart by making a comment like "The car was 10 years old and you expect it to run like new!" Well,
1) The car was not 10 years old when I bought it,
2) I have received e-mails, and found sites from people that have had the same problems with their brand spanking new Saturn Automobiles,
and
3) Even though I did buy the car used, I have had countless amounts of work done to the stupid thing at the Saturn Garage, and I do expect it to run for me with no problems. You think that such a highly respected garage would have caught that problem as soon as it happened!

I did get to work though. This statement tells me you drove the saturn when you knew it was overheating so it is not the car's fault u need a new engine it YOURS!
In case you did not notice, the car was running fine, and the Saturn Garage is right next door to where I work. I had just noticed the overheating on my way to work that morning.

If you would stop bitching and maintain the autombile properly you woulden't have these problems. Obvously you are one of those people who don't take notice of your own screwups but would rather pass the blame and bitch to others. have a nice day (jackass)
Another one of those people that don't listen. I properly maintained this vehicle. Now, I would be calling you names myself, but I am way too mature for stooping down to your level. Quick question for you, do you do any research at all? If you would just look through my site, and some of the links on my links page, then you will see that I am not the only person that experiences problems with Saturn Automobiles. Now, I am not passing the blame, I am taking action upon my misfortunes.

You keep talking about the Saturn and don't mention where you bought the car from, how many miles were on it, or what the history of the car was before you bought it. Yes, 1991 was not the best Saturn made because it was the first model year for the company. And the car started brand new under $8,000 at that time. You have a 10 year old car now, and many cars don't last that long. Saturn has made outstanding cars for years now. (DID YOU KNOW THAT SATURN IS RANKED AS THE BEST CAR BUYING EXPERIENCE AMOUNG ALL CARS STILL AFTER 10 YEARS ACCORDING TO J.D.Powers??) They continue to be an outstanding used product, and I know tons and tons of people who love, repeat, LOVE their Saturns. If your going to put up a website, put something up that makes some sense because as many of the other respondents have stated in various wording-GET A LIFE!!!
This is the best e-mail of them all...NOT! Now, If this person was paying attention to the website, and what has been posted, although I do have a beef with the Saturn automobile, its Customer Service that really ticks me off. I will say this again, after having $1000+ worth of engine work done on the car, I do expect it to run longer than it did. I did not expect to have to put a new engine in the thing. If I new that, I could have bought an engine instead of having the original work done to it. It would have saved a lot of time and money.
P.S.
If you checked out this webpage, then you noticed that I am not the only one having these sort of problems with Saturn. A lot of people that send me mail like this assume that I am the only one with the problem. That is not the case.

YOU ARE A PERSON WITH A LOT OF PROBLEMS.. FIRST YOU BITCH ABOUT YOUR SATURN THEN YOU SAY AT THE END OF YOU SAD SOB STORY THAT NOW ALL YOU NEED IN A JUNKER TO GET YOU AROUND.. ISN'T THAT YOUR PROB. IN THE FIRST PLACE AS YOU PROB. DID NOT CHECK OUT YOUR SATURN AS WELL AS YOU SHOULD OF BEING USED AND ALL YOU NEVER KNOW WHAT KIND OF HELL THE OTHER PERSON OR PERSONS HAD PUT IT THRUOUGH AM I RIGHT?
Well, lets see here. When I first purchased that lovely Saturn auto, It was great. Far from being a junker. Then, I ran into my problems. After purchasing the car, and then having problems where I have to inject money into engine repair that does not even work, I have no money for a nice new car.

Saturn hater i dont own a saturn but i have a comment for you get over it the car you bought was seven years old just tell your dad to buy you another car ! good luck
Well, unlike you, I do not come from a rich family. I have to work for a living to pay off my debts due to this piece of junk car. Therefor, I cannot turn to my father whenever something goes wrong.

Dear Saturn Hater or whatever,
your page is so stupid...you buy what a 91 Saturn and expect it to run like new? You need to get a life..sorry to tell you that...bye!
Dear You,
I am almost getting sick and tired of saying this, but I will repeat myself for the umpteen time. I know that it was not exactly the newest car when I bought it. It should, none the less, run like new after $1,000.00+ worth of engine work done to it. I should not need more engine work after 6 months...bye!

you seem to dedicate a lot of time hating Saturn. Don't you have anything positive to do?
Well, I do believe that this is positive. What I am doing here is making sure that no one else gets dooped by the Saturn Corportation again.

Ok you bought a 7 yr old car with who knows what kind of maintenance history behind it. Belts, tires and batteries wear out. alternator may have something to do with poor belts. I'm no mechanic and never owned a saturn but I do know that when you buy a 7 year old car, you can't hold the manufacturer responsible for how it was cared for by the previous owner. Perhaps it was someone like you that expects to just hop in and drive it forever and never do preventive maintenance.

I'm very sorry to hear about your troubles with your Saturn. I don't own a Saturn, but I know people who do. They love their Saturns. Now I'm not defending Saturn as an organization, but I must point out that you bought a 7 year old car. Not many cars have any type of warranty left after 7 years. In my experience cars tend to start having problems at 7 years. It's a big pain in the rear, but that seems to be the way it goes. I understand your frustration because I had a similar problem with Ford. I bought a brand new 1985 Ford Escort and it was great! Six months later it blew a gasket. Three months later the windshield cracked and finally three years after I bought it the timing belt broke on the highway. That was the final straw. When you buy a brand new car you expect years of hassle free driving. However, in your case, you bought a VERY used car and when you buy a used car you also buy the problems expected from age, wear and tear. This is not a criticism in any way, but next time you buy a used car, no matter how reputable the company or dealer, don't buy one over 5 years old. Best of luck with your future automobiles!
PS.
I bought a Mazda in 1989. The problems started after 7 years, but the dealership has been very helpful. They replaced my transmission for FREE twice. Not because it was under warranty (it wasn't) but because they felt I should not be having this type of problem with a Mazda car. Now that is what I call service.

Hello, We would just like to say that we love both of our Saturns. The first one we purchased brand new in 98 ( 98 SC 2 Limited Edition Red Hot) and our newest edition bought used in 2000 ( 91 SL 2 ). I would also like to say I myself love my saturn mechanic boyfriend and would like to say THANK you to him for busting his butt all day on customers cars. I don't think it's all true when you say all Saturn workers are jerks, yes I will admit there are people out there that suck, I myself worked with the public directly for 3 1/2 years and not everyone I came across was nice, but alot of the people I got to meet were wonderful.
