Dragon/Human Physiology: Sauren’s DNA is a triple helix combination of
Human, Singular Type Dragon and an unknown element from his "Surge
Pulse" powers. This unique physical structure provides Sauren with a
number of powers, abilities and stunts that are listed below:
-Sauren’s epidermis is made up of microscopic scales, which provide him
with Amazing (50) protection from physical, Incredible (40) protection
from energy, and Class 1000 Invulnerability from fire/heat based
attacks.
-Sauren is able to generate Incredible (40) intensity streams or
spheres of superheated plasma, which he uses as distance attacks up to 4-areas
away. Sauren is also able to generate thrust, enabling him to leap up to
4-areas. As a power stunt Sauren is able to strafe an entire area with
mini-spheres, doing +1cs rank damage.
-Sauren is able to fly by means of a set of wings that he usually keeps
folded against his back. He is able to reach speeds of Amazing (50) or
25-areas per round. The wings also allow him to shield himself, giving him a +1cs
to FEAT rolls against physical and energy attacks.
-Sauren has a number of blades, horns, spines and spikes that protrude
from various points on his body. Sauren also has a tail that these items also
appear on, which Sauren can also do Incredible (40) edged or Remarkable
(30) blunt damage. The spines may be flung up to 3-areas away.
-Sauren is able to recover 2-points of Health per round, 2 ranks of
Endurance per day, and lost limbs in a matter of 1-10 rounds. He can heal Poor
(04) amounts of damage to others.
Body Armor: Sauren commonly wears a suit of Class 3000
strength armor that is in truth a magical construct. This armor provides him
with Monstrous (75) protection from physical and energy attack. The
armor also conceals the majority of his weapons, provides him with Class
1000 Life Support, and follows him from lifetime to lifetime.
Bio-Surge Driver: Sauren was given the ability to summon and utilize a
Shift Z (500) amount of pure energy that permeates the universe, by a
race of aliens that visited him in the latter part of his second lifetime. This
Bio-Surge Driver seems to combine both mystical energies and the advanced
energies that are commonly associated with technology. This gives Sauren the
following abilities:
-Fireballs:
Sauren can generate a Fire/Frostball of –1cs
intensity, 1-area of effect, line-of-sight range, (note this is a base spell
for the Armageddon power listed below).
-Flame
Strike: Sauren can summon 1-area Flame/Frost Strikes with power rank
intensity. He can also cast a 1-area wide, 4-area long Cone of Flame/Frost that
does power rank damage to the effected area and –2cs to the area immediately surrounding the cone.
-Fire
Storm: Sauren is able to summon an 8-area Firestorm that inflicts power
rank damage on all in its range, (note that this is a base spell for the
Armageddon power listed below). Sauren can also cast the reverse of this spell,
summoning an 8-area Frost-Storm.
-Lightning
Strike: Sauren is able to call down a column of lightning, that strikes
1-area with power rank intensity, and does –2cs to the
surrounding areas, (note this is a base spell for the Armageddon power listed
below).
-Blade
Barrier: Sauren is able to summon a 1-area field of spinning, razor
sharp blades of power rank magical energy, (note this is a base spell
for the Armageddon power listed below).
-Magic
Missile: Sauren can generate Magic Missiles of power rank intensity, and
is able to attack up to 5 targets in the same round with a –1cs penalty, within line-of-sight range (note this is a base spell
for the Armageddon power listed below).
-Enchanted Blade: This spell causes a
sword blade of crackling electrical energy to appear in Sauren’s hands. It is
the size of a two-handed sword, but is virtually weightless. Electrical sparks
flash up and down the length of the glowing blade. The enchanted blade can be
used in two ways – in normal melee combat or to fire a bolt of crackling energy
from its tip up to a range of 3-areas. A normal Fighting roll must be made in
either case. Either method can be used at any point in a combat. The spell has
and absolute duration of 1-turn, and does Sauren’s Endurance rank in
damage for a number of rounds equal to his Endurance rank before it
disappears.
-Wraith-form:
Sauren is able to, after concentrating and casting for a round, cause his body
to become intangible reaching Shift 0 (00) density. In this form he
becomes apparition-like, causing others to fear him with Excellent (20)
ability. Sauren and all he is touching at the culmination of the spell can only
be touched by other ethereal or phased beings.
-Levitation:
Sauren can levitate with power rank intensity, and is able to travel at
30-areas/round, or he can hover, (more skimming along the surface of the
land/water), at a speed of 9-areas/round.
-Healing
Spells:
Sauren, being a cleric, is able to heal the wounds and afflictions of others.
With this ability he has +1cs ability, and is capable of the following
powers and abilities:
*Minor
Healing: Minor wounds totalling no more than Excellent (20) rank
are healed instantly, and no more than 10 times per day.
*Major
Healing: Major wounds totalling no more than Incredible (40)
rank are healed instantly, and no more than 6 times per day.
*Greater
Healing: Greater wounds totalling no more than Monstrous (75)
rank are healed instantly, and no more than 2 times per day.
*Raise
Dead: Sauren is able to return slain beings to live, within 48-hours of
their death with +2cs ability, but must rest for 10-turns.
*Resurrection: Sauren may resurrect a
being from the dead, healing all wounds and returning them to health, with +3cs
ability, but at a cost. All of Sauren’s abilities are at –3cs for a full
day and he is drained of his spells.
-Regeneration:
Sauren is able to recover 1-point of Health per round, 2-ranks of Endurance per
day, and lost limbs in a matter of 1-10 rounds.
-Flight:
Sauren can fly with power rank intensity, and is able to travel at
30-areas/round.
-Gate:
Sauren is able to summon beings, monsters and even material through an
inter-planar gate with –1cs ability.
-Teleportation:
Sauren is able to teleport with –2cs ability and can reach any place
that he has seen (i.e. in person, scrying, etc.).
-Chi
Blast: Sauren is able to channel his personal energy in to a wide-angle
energy beam that he is able to do +1cs
energy damage, with an area-of-effect 1-area wide and 8-areas long. Sauren is
however affected by this attack and receives the following penalties. Sauren is
–2cs on all Agility and Endurance
Feats, and has no spells for the next 2 rounds, (note that this is a base spell
for the Armageddon power listed below).
-Aura
Reading: Sauren is able to detect and/or read the Fighting, Strength,
Endurance and Psyche of other living beings. There is no rank with this power;
however, Sauren can become overwhelmed by the sheer magnitude of some power
levels. Anything over Unearthly (100)
rank requires Sauren to make a Psyche FEAT roll or be mentally stunned for 1 to
10 rounds.
-Other
Spells: Sauren can use all other spells in the Players Handbook and
Ultimate Powers Book with –1cs
ability.
-Tobian’s Ultimate Circle: Sauren can cast a spell called
Tobian’s Ultimate Circle, which is the final word in defensive magic;
completely invulnerable, (Class 1000
protection), to those against whom it is cast. While being cast, Sauren must
draw a circle of gold dust and decide whether the circle protects against the
inside or outside. If inside, nothing within the lines can escape or attack
through the barrier until the spell expires or the circle id broken. If set to
protect against the outside, whatever is within the lines is absolutely
invulnerable to every conceivable attack. In all cases, any force or attack
brought against the invulnerable side of the circle is reflected back against
the initiator of the force. If a being on the protected side moves or attacks
through the barrier, willingly or not, the spell is broken. Sauren is able to open the circle for an
instant to teleport or planar travel-just long enough to trap someone inside or
bring someone across to the protected side. This spell can also be made permanent,
which legends say Sauren did to a demon. He created the first circle trapping
the demon, then put up a second, protecting against the outside, forever
trapping the demon.
-Armageddon Spells: Sauren is able to utilize
a special magic spell called the Armageddon. This spell requires a magic user
with at least Amazing (50) ability
and Psyche. The Armageddon uses a base spell; usually one the caster uses
frequently. It then attacks all living matter, (trees, grass animals, insects,
humans, etc.), within 20-areas with the base spell, boosted to the rank of Shift Z (500). Sauren is able to use
this ability only once per month as the spell exacts a heavy cost. All of
Sauren’s physical abilities and Psyche drop to the rank of Feeble (02) and Sauren must spend 2-weeks meditating to recover
from the ordeal. Use of this spell also costs Sauren all but 50 points of his
Karma.
-Pure Energy Blasts: Sauren is able to fire blasts or beams of power
rank damage, and is unlimited in its styles.
-Combat Surge: By forcing the energies into a focus the
Bio-Surge Driver can increase Sauren’s abilities by +1cs every 3 rounds he is
in combat, with the uppermost limit of this power being Shift Y (200)
rank. The secondary format of this ability allows Sauren to focus his energies,
granting himself a boost in all abilities to the rank of Unearthly (100), for a
total of 1-10 rounds. When using his energy attacks, Sauren is able to increase
their output to Shift Y (200) rank. This Power Rush", which has a
range of 10 areas, requires Sauren to make an Endurance FEAT roll, or be
stunned for 10-rounds and is drained of spells for 4-rounds.
-Transformation: Sauren is able to transform into a
Singular type Gold Plated, Red Dragon for a number of rounds equal to his
Endurance rank, (100 rounds). In this form his abilities increase to Unearthly
(100) rank, and he retains all of his powers, save for his Plasma Generation
which increases by +3cs. After his transformation back he must rest for 1-hour
or be stripped of 2-Endurance ranks for 24 hours.
-Surge Pulse: A special ability that Sauren has is the
"Surge Pulse" attack, which uses anywhere from 100 to 1000 points of
this energy, focused into the following effects. The primary use of this power
is an Omni-directional pulse or sphere that extends for 20-areas. This blast
attacks on a level that all shield or block and force field attempts are at
–3cs. After using this attack Sauren is drained of all energies for a 12-hour
period, and his Agility and Endurance suffer a -2cs until he has rested for at
least 10-rounds. The secondary format is that Sauren can also focus this energy
into a wide-angle force beam that affects all living matter that it strikes
with Shift Z (500) intensity. This attack extends for 10-areas by
1-area, ignores all body armor of less than Unearthly (100) rank and force
fields function at –3cs. Affected individuals get to make an Endurance FEAT
roll, anything less than a red feat means the victim is stunned, for 24-hours,
and loses 3-ranks of Endurance. Sauren is however affected by this attack and
is –2cs on all Agility and Endurance FEAT's, and has no energy powers for the
next 10-rounds
-Surge Curse: The Bio-Surge Driver has a drawback. Three
egos are created when the power is first imbued upon a being, the original, a
second representing the possible good that being is capable of, and a third
representing the sheer evil and destruction that they are capable of, and is
the maximum potential for that individual. In Sauren, this being is actually
the spirit of Sauren’s birth father, a Singular Type Abyssal Dragon with 3
heads. Galath Amok is one of the most vicious and evil beings to have ever
existed, and has a terrifying intellect. His main weapon is a stream of
Anti-Life Force that completely reverts organic matter to its composite
molecules with Shift Z (500) ability, and all of his abilities and
powers increase to Shift Z (500) rank.
Perpetual Reincarnation: Sauren is cursed with the following ability.
When Sauren is slain, (which usually requires the dispersal of at least 2/3 of
his molecular structure), his is reborn into a new body. Upon his reaching his
25th birthday, Sauren begins to regain his powers, and all of the
memories from his previous lifetimes. His Armor and Equipment are also
transferred to his next life as well.
Power Surge Focus: Sauren can channel all his power ranks and ability
ranks into one ability or power burst. They are all totaled together in one
massive outburst, afterwards all ranks drop to Feeble. This power rank number
is the number of points the character can regain each turn. Thus Sauren could
channel all of his ranks into a single ability or blast of Class 5000 (9040)
rank. After this all of Sauren’s ranks are dropped to Feeble (02) and his is
stunned for 10-100 days.
Equipment:
Blades of the Dragonslayer: Two dual-bladed Katana swords,
made of a Class 3000 steel like material that Sauren is able to do Monstrous
(75) edged or Amazing (50) blunt damage with. The swords are even older than
Sauren is, having been created long before Sauren’s first life. Because of
this, and that the swords contain a focal point for mystic energies, the swords
have a number of powers as well:
-Force Channeling: Sauren is able to summon a wall or
bubble of force that repels all but mental/psionic and emotion based attacks
with Unearthly (100) ability. At least one of the swords must be drawn and
braced for this power to work.
-Mystic Deflection and Severing: The swords are able to
redirect or sever mystic bonds and energies with Incredible (40) ability, such as
deflecting mystic bolts or cutting magic restraints.
-Worthiness: No one can use the swords without having at
least 100 points of karma, Excellent (20) Strength, and must use the swords
"for the greater good", or they will be attacked by the swords, doing
-1cs physical damage and inflict Amazing (50) energy damage.
-Mystic Enchantment: The original purpose of the swords
was for the purpose of slaying evil dragons. Any dragon or reptilian life form
damaged by the blades on a red feat roll, must make an Endurance and Psyche
FEAT roll or be slain instantly. Successful targets take Unearthly (100)
edged damage, an additional Amazing (50) energy damage, and are –3cs on
all Agility, Endurance and Psyche FEAT rolls for 24-hours.
Shin’ji Disks: These four Amazing (50) material strength,
nearly weightless steel disks, may be thrown up to 4-areas and inflict Incredible
(40) damage. The disks may penetrate up to Monstrous (75) strength
materials. Sauren has some mental control over the disks and can target objects
with Incredible (40) ability, having the disks return at the end of the
round.
Shoulder Cannons: Two lightweight, shoulder mounted mini-cannons
that inflict Amazing (50) energy damage to a single target or Incredible
(40) explosive force damage to several targets in close proximity. A
tri-laser-targeting beam may be used in sniper type attacks to hit with Amazing
(50) ability; otherwise it targets with Remarkable (30) ability.
The Daemonlance: Sauren keeps a weapon in a special vault, called the
Daemonlance. This weapon is powerful beyond the measure of most mortals. The
weapon itself is made of Class 5000 strength material, and Sauren is
able to do Monstrous (75) edged damage and Amazing (50) blunt
damage with it. The weapon receives a +1cs to hit against undead,
demonic, evil and extra-planar creatures. He most prominent feature of this
weapon is a Class 1000 pure energy blast. Beings of true good will only
be stunned for 1-10 days, while evil characters will suffer power rank damage
and if failing a Psyche FEAT roll, will suffer molecular disintegration.

Role-playing Notes:
Sauren is an enigma of sorts, a controlled
chaos. He is a machine in combat with a terrifying power, but in everyday
dealings he portrays the façade of a fun-loving, charismatic individual.
Underneath that façade, Sauren subconsciously is a cold, calculating person
willing to do what he must for the greater good. He has encountered much sorrow
watching all he has ever cared about die long before him, and even when he does
die, there is no peace, for he always comes back.
