I see a Fire in the night
Wild, beautiful, captivating.
I try to sit by it, to know its warmth
But am denied.
I turn from the Fire
I see there are many other fires in the night
But that the beauty of that one Fire
Had blinded me to their presence.
No matter how many of them I may visit
I carry within me a memory of that one Fire
And wherever I go,
A part of me always waits near it,
Close enough to see its beauty,
