Water – a source to life

 

Water being the source of life is as precious as life itself. Every citizen has a right to safe and clean water, which no one can curtail. However, the figures on water are disappointing: 1.6 billion people do not have access to drinking water in the 21st century. 2.5 billion people do not have sanitation facilities. Five million people in the world, mostly women and children, perish each year with water borne disease.
