Lin Fa Shan, Lantau Island
Along the trail we saw lots of hills and grassylands. At one point not far from Lin Fa Shan we could see Sunny island (the small one) and Hei Ling Chau (the bigger one) where the government planned to build a smart prison but scrapped later on due to the strong opposition coming from the people who are worried about the environment impacts of the construction. Thank goodness, there is still democracy in Hong Kong.

It was a long walk. We started at around 10.15 am and did not finish until around 05.00 pm. We took two breaks which altogether comes to around an hour which means we walked for about six hours. We walked pretty leisurely though. I am sure we could do it in five hours.

To end the walk, some of us had a great and cheap meal in Mui Wo at our favourite restaurant there. We had the usual ones: fried tofu, a dish of daomiu and a hot pot aubergine ...ahem...eggplant. Delicious! Jasmina had a bowl of vegetarian noodles. Tony and Jammy had a dish fried vermicelli and a bowl of soup but we ended up sharing the food.

We caught the 6.40 fast ferry to go back to Central. Usually, I would prefer to catch the slow one because not only it is nice to end the day slowly but also I just need to pay half of the fare of the fast ferry.
