| Premiere Episode: #1 A Moon Star Is Born Serena - the klutzy, spacey, crybaby. . . that transforms through the years into the beautiful Sailor Soldier that we all come to love. The story of Sailor Moon, itself, is a wonderful coming of age tale of the 14 year old Serena who learns that she must protect the planet from evil. When we first meet Serena in "A Moon Star Is Born", she is living her life as a normal teenager. She lives with her mom, dad, and younger brother Sammy. Serena isn't the brightest crayon in the box, scoring very low grades in school, but her life is soon about to change. Luna, Serena's talking guardian cat, comes to tell Serena of her destiny. Serena, freaked out by the notion of a talking cat, does as Luna tells her and transforms into the super heroine Sailor Moon. Sailor Moon will now fight a number of enemies while trying to find the legendary Moon Princess. Sailor Moon will also meet and be saved many times by her past and future love, Tuxedo Mask. Little does Serena know, the guy that she can't stand, Darien, is actually Tuxedo Mask. The two will not realize each other's identities until Episode #30 "A Crystal Clear Destiny". This is also the episode that Serena finds out that she is the Moon Princess. Along the way, Sailor Moon is joined by her fellow Sailor Scouts: Sailor Mercury, Sailor Mars, Sailor Jupiter, and Sailor Venus.
