| "Weathered The Rain" Written By: Janine Monday, September 16, an episode of General Hospital that I will never forget. The day Sonny saw Brenda, the day he didn't leave her standing in the rain. 5 years is along time, but Maurice and Vanessa managed to do it again, proving that time can not erase the chemisty between to actors. It started with Brenda confiding in a priest, admiting that she wanted to see him. Then telling him he wasn't going to come, "Because, he always leaves me standing in the rain." I never really cared for the Song Amazing Grace, for I only heard it at funerals, but the song now has a different meaning to me. It means hope. As Sonny walked to the church he left her at 5 years ago, unprepared for what was to come, Brenda walked to the door. And as door swung up I watched with tears in my eyes and goosebumps on my arms. Their eyes locked. His expression was pure shock as was her, that he didn't leave her standing in the rain. She smiled at him and the tears couldn't be held back anymore. Once again no words were needed for this dynamic duo. And isn't it ironic how Sonny "dies" seeing her face? My God, I don't remember when I was so glued to my screen- it was probably five years ago. After seeing these scenes, there is nothing that I won't do to fight for this couple.. Sonny and Brenda fans deserve to see them together again- for we've weathered the rain, just as Brenda has.
