Break out your ear plugs for this is the week "Nobody Leaves" reprises. The Jax and Brenda Slogan which is much like an advertisement for Hemroid Ointment. I've received many e-mails regarding the up-coming Jax and Brenda scenes. It's only natural to feel worried and disgusted, after the couch sex and raft shit we've suffered, but look at things this way: "Nobody Leaves" has lost it's definition. Brenda was always the one to leave, if not to be with Sonny, then to die in peace of find herself. When seh was pulled from the water after her crash, she didn't think to go back to Jax, she thought of her health. (You go Girl!) When he spotted her in Paris she did not feel the need to see him or protect him - and he was just yards away. Brenda went out of her way- no mountain was to high for her to get to Sonny. Now as she tries to get to Jax it's to protect him, not because she is yearning to see him folks. And keep in mind this, we did not get any Jax and Brenda interference when S&B layed eyes on each other. However in the same week that the "Nobody Leaves" garbage begins we get one of the greatest Sonny & Brenda days since Brenda has been brought back to the General Hospital canvas. And SONNY gets involved as opposed to when Jax wasn't even a thought- not even in a segment! I don't see Jax and Brenda as a threat. We've fought this battle before and won. Yes we won, because she chose SONNY- and through everything there wasn't a day she stopped loving. Brenda will always chose Sonny- First loves never die. Remember that, and remember this- You can not interfere with fate or soul mates. They were "born" to love one another. Guys it means something that Sonny and Brenda came first, it means something that since July Sonny has been portrayed as the bigger threat, it means something that we got the line "I've got something Sonny wants more than anything.." It means Sonny and Brenda are the ultimate story line. Jax and Brenda did not bring General Hospital to the number two position in the official ratings- and I seriously doubt they will bring them to number one. And as for Sonny and Carly? Well they succeeded...at keeping them at an all time LOW. Again it's Sonny & Brenda: The bigger picture. Also another point- Nobody Leaves- Bullshit she left, "He always Leaves me standing in the rain"- Not this time!! Just something to ponder! Until next vent-- LoL! -September 2002- |
