| Sonny And Brenda Lay Eyes On Each Other September 16, 2002 Transcribed by Heather (Vice President of SBR) Opening Scene - *Brenda and Man with Cell phone (LOL)* & *Jason and Sonny (Sonnys Penthouse)* S- Ok, Im not gonna agree to do anything unless I speak to the woman myself." *cut to Brenda and Man* Man - "He wants to talk to you." Brenda shakes her head "No, No." M - "Then he's not going to meet with you, which is fine by me but I get the watch regardless." B- *sigh* Give me the phone." Man - *to Sonny* I'm passing her the phone." Brenda starts to cry, she places the phone to her ear. Her piano music starts to play S - Who is this?" "All right you know what, Unless I have a reason and a name I'm not gonna meet anybody at St. Timothy's tonight." Brenda panics and hands the phone back to the man. B - No, I cant---No, No listen you have---you have to talk to him for me, ok?" "You talk to him." *Sonny to Jason* He puts his hand over the receiver - S - She---She's on the phone but she wont talk." *Carly enters* Sonny to Jason - "Wait---" Carly to Sonny - "Hey, I got the peppers you wanted." Sonny puts up his hand to silence Carly Carly looks to Jason "Is everything ok?" *cut back to Brenda and the Man* B - You tell him its about Alcazar." "You tell him its important." "And---And tell him---Tell him to come alone." M - I'll say anything you want, but I dont think he'll go for it." B - Well, Listen--Listen--Tell him---Tell him its in he's best interest." "Please?" Man puts cell phone up to his ear and beings to talk to Sonny again. M - "Again, she says its about Alcazar and you have to come alone." "Oh, and she says its in your best interest." S - "All right." "I'll be there alone" Sonny hangs up the phone *Back to Brenda and the Man* M- "Its set." "He'll show up by himself." Brenda shakes her head in agreement B - "Thank You" M - "You better have something good for him." "I could tell by the way he talks your friend Sonny he doesn't mess around." Brenda laughs and shakes her head in agreement B- "Yeah." M - "Ok." Cut back to Sonnys Penthouse - Sonny, Jason and Carly C - "Go where alone?" When?" S - "Tonight." "Some Woman wants to meet me at St. Timothy's." Cut to Roy's Penthouse. He is on the phone with Alcazar. R - Its been arranged, I will finish Sonny tonight." "Your yacht sinking was the perfect diversion" "Hell be so focused on you that he wont even see me coming. A - "I dont want reassurances, I want results." R - "I cant get the man where he lives." "He's windows are bulletproof, he's got guards at all the access points." A - "It happens tonight or Felicia does." *hangs up the phone* *Cut back to Roy* *He's pissed, he throws the phone.* Alcazar and Guard A - Any sign of Brenda? G - Gas station attendant 2 blocks from the lake says he saw her about 45 minutes ago." A - "Are you certain it was her?" G - He ID her photograph, said she was asking where to find the nearest pay phone." A - What'd he tell her?" G - "The attendant didnt know of a pay phone anywhere close, and he wouldn't give her his so she took off, on foot." "We know the general direction and we're searching but she could have gone anywhere." A - "Brenda's obviously trying to contact Corinthos and Jax." "We have to find her before she does." Cut to Brenda walking down a street. A car headlights shine on her and she ducks behind a building. *end scene* *next scene* Piano music starts to play as Brenda approaches the entrance to St. Timothy's Church. It starts to rain. Brenda holds out her hands and begins to laugh. Irony of the last time she was there* *end scene* *Next scene* Brenda enters St. Timothys* *Her Piano music softly plays* *She walks through the main doors and closes them behind her* "*There she stands in the aisle, a sense of dejavu comes over her.* *She walks up the isle, touching the pews along the way and begins to laugh again* *She stands infront of the altar, smiling all the while* *She laughs again* *We hear a slight noise of a door opening and she does the infamous turn* *end scene* *Next scene* Brenda turns to see a priest (Father Dade) at the other end of the altar. Fr. D - Im Father Dade, can I help you?" B - "Hi, umm no Im just waiting for someone so-- FD - Ahh B - Oh, do you need to lock up?" FD - I was just gonna start B - Well, Ill wait outside. FD - No, Im certainly not gonna throw you out in the rain. B - Oh FD - Closing up a church at night is really quite an ordeal. I start in the basement, I work my way all the way through so you have plenty of time before I get to the outer doors. B - Thanks FD - Ok. Is there anything I can do to help? B - Oh no, Im---Im fine, just---just waiting FD - Ok? B- He'll either come or he wont FD - All right FD - If there's anything that you need, I will be right through there, down in the basement." "You just give a shout and I will come running back up, all right?" B - Oh, actually, I know this church really well." "I almost got married here." "That room down there is ah---thats where I---Its were I almost put my dress on." "So, how long have you been here?" FD - 3 Years B - Oh, well its 5 years ago, so---yeah FD - You almost got married? B - Yeah, I picked the church. He's catholic and I always thought this church was really beautiful and my mother Episcopalian FD - Hmm B - I dont even know why I picked this church for him to meet me here I just---I get alittle impulsive some times FD - Nothing wrong with that B - Well, ok *she laughs* There's something wrong with it sometimes. When you cant really trust your impulses and when your impulses dont make any sense. Do I seem rational to you? FD - Yes B - Oh, good. Its just that I have this terminal illness and sometimes its hard for me to think clearly. FD - I'm sorry B - No, dont be sorry. Its fine. Im used to it. Even before I had it I always wondered why I did certain things. *laughs* Now I just get wonder if its my disease making my decisions or me. Like this guy that I was supposed to meet her. FD - Ah ha B - I could have given him this message over the phone but I didnt. I had someone else tell him to meet me here. Thats crazy, right? FD - No Necessarily. Why did you ask to meet him here? B - Well I--- FD - Sometimes its good to examine your motives. Why you did something is almost as important as the action itself. B - I asked him to meet me here because I have to warn him about something. FD - Which you could've done that over the phone? *Brenda shakes her head in agreement* B - I wanted to see him *next scene* Jason and Sonny in Sonnys Limo S- Carly and I called Michael tonight. He swam across the Cabana pool underwater. J - Thats good for him S - Yeah, I told him I was gonna see him do it ya know, once this whole thing was over J - Its raining pretty hard tonight S - Yeah well, at least its not snowing. You know how much I hate freezing J - Yeah but rain makes it hard to spot movement. In the might its almost impossible. Alcazar could put a sniper on the roof. S - Alcazars yacht has sunk. You told me he was jittery, he was losing focus. Were you wrong. J - No S - Ok, nows the time to make a move. I wanna see what this guys after almost as much as I want him gone. J- Sonny, there are other ways to end this. S - This is my way to get answers. J - and that justifies the risk? S - Are you tellin me not to do this? J - No Im reminding you that you have a wife and a little boy. You're their world. You're the reason Carly gets outta bed and does all the crazy stuff she does and your the reason Michael swam underwater cross the pool cause you told him you'd come and see it, and he's counting on you to be there. Yeah, maybe you, Sonny, need your answers but your family needs you more. So be sure about this. *end scene* *Next scene* Brenda still inside the church, father Dade enters again* B - Is it time for us to leave? FD - I gotta go to my office and do some paperwork. Unless you'd like me to ask you to leave?" Would it be easier for you if I gave you a reason to stop waiting? *Brenda shakes her head no* B - No I---I dont want to do the easy thing, I wanna do the right thing. Seems like I've been trying to do the right thing for a long time. You know, everytime I go to make a choice I always ask myself how will this affect the people that I love? Because all I wanna do is protect them but---I dont know, it just seems int he end I always do the opposite. FD - And how have you harmed these people? B - By trusting someone when I didnt know what he was capable of. FD - well, your not responsible for another persons actions. B - No, I---I am responsible FD - Well-- B - Im responsible, when I found out that I was sick I ran away because I didnt want anyone that I loved to see me this way. See, I wasn't strong enough so I ran. I let somebody take care of me who I didnt even know because his heart wasn't open. See, that way there's no chance of me ever breaking it. I asked this person to promise me that he would never ever let me go home and thats why all of this is happening. FD - May I tell you what I think? B - Oh, please FD - When you act out of love and selfless concern for another person, you've done right. *Brenda shakes her head in agreement* You cant play god or predict how others are going to respond to your actions. If you've tried to do your best for the people you love, you can be at piece with yourself. B - *tears in her eyes* But dont you think its selfish of me to want to see him? FD - Maybe you should ask yourself, would he wanna see you? B - I dont know. Uh, you know what? I'm sorry. Im not even a parishioner and Im taking up all of your time so--- FD - Its my job, parishioner or not B - It doesnt matter because he's not coming FD - Why not? B - Because, he always leaves me standing in the rain *cut to Sonnys Limo* *Jasona nd Sonny still talking* S- Carly was right, I should've worn a raincoat Im gonna get soaked J - Ok, im gonna get out here. Max is gonna pull the car around to the other side of the plaza which is closer to the church doors. *Jason goes to leave* S - NO. Cars staying her and so are you. J - You need back up S - She said come alone Jason J - Im not gonna walk you up to the church doors. I need to take position so that I can see the roof to cover you incase this is an ambush S - Wait 10 minutes J - 10---10 minutes. I need to be in position before you get out of this car. S - This is an order J - My job is-- S - This is an order! J - My job is to protect you. S- Your job is to do what I tell you to do, whether you think its right or you think im dead wrong. Its not your decision to make. Now you knew the rules when I gave you the job. Now you either do what I need you to do or Ill have Max take you home, but I do not want you to show up in front of that church--- J - fine S - Unless you give me 10 minutes J - Fine. My job is to follow your orders and thats what Im going to do but Im gonna tell your right now, because I have to---you are taking an unnecessary risk. You told me the worst thing to do is to let something get personal and thats what your doing right now. S - Then I will--- J - Your not leaving here because its smart Sonny, your going out there because Alcazar is daring you and you want your answers. S - Then I'll get what I deserve, right? Because Im a professional and I and I cant see whats in front of me and make a decision to walk away because this bastard, comes outta no where, screws up my life and Ill do whatever it takes to get rid of him! Yes, Its personal! Thats why Im gonna ask you as a friend, stop fighting me with this stuff! Please! Let me do what I gotta do. J - Fine, 10 minutes. *Sonny lets out a sigh* S - You know whats funny?
