September 23, 2002 Transcribed by Heather (Vice President of SBR) Scene 1 Jason and Brenda - Sonnys Safehouse Brenda has just awaken up from a nightmare and is screaming. Jason comes in and goes to her. She grabs him and holds onto him tightly. Sonny watches from outside the window as Jason comforts her. Sonny leaves J - It's ok. *Jason pulls out of her embrace* Are you ok? B - I'm ok. J - You were screaming B - Yeah its---My nightmares are getting worse. I---The medicine used to help so--- J - If your supposed to take something I can get it for you B - I dont want anymore drugs *Sonny enters his bedroom in the Safehouse and goes to the vent and opens it, he listens* J - Trust me. Im doing everything I can to make that happen. But if you need anything you need to tell me. *Camera shoots back to Brenda bedroom in the safe house, she and Jason are still talking* She shakes her head at Jason in agreement B - Could you just leave? Please? *Jason looks at her hesitantly then gets up and leaves the room* "Brenda sits there still on the chair looking all around the room* *Camera shoots back to Sonnys bedroom, Jason enters as Sonny closes the vent* J - We need to get her outta here right now. *Camera shoots back to Sonny and fades out on his face* *end scene* Scene 2 *Sonnys Safehouse, Sonny and Jason continued* S- What happened? J - She had a nightmare. Screaming, She's terrified---its part of her sickness. S - She's not taking her medication? J - No, I offered it to her, she turns me down. She doesn't care about anything except getting to Jax. S - You can deal with her J - No--I cant. Lets just fly her to Puerto Rico. We can hold her in a suite at one of the casinos until this is over, Sonny. S - Its hard enough holding her against her will right now. Im not gonna ship her outta town J - Just--- S - What are you talkin about J - Just for a few days. Thats it. You know how she is. She doesnt think. She's more trouble than we need right now *Jason rubs his hands vigorously over his face* S - We are holding Brenda until Alcazar is outta the picture and then she can do whatever she wants to do. Which is probably going to go back to Europe. She'll never know I was alive. J - Fine. I need a break. She starts in on me again Im gonna lose my mind. S - Ok. But. You know, I need you back here as soon as you can cause there's nobody else I can trust to handle this. *Jason nods his head in understanding and then exits Sonnys room* *Sonny stares at the wall* *Camera shoots to Brenda. She is leaning against the wall sideways. She places her head against the wall and the camera shoots back to Sonny* *end scene* *Scene 3* *Sonny and Brenda's Safehouse* *Brenda is in her bedroom, Sonnys in his* *Brenda is banging on the door* B - Jason? Jason I need to talk to you for a second. Jason, Look, I know you dont care what happens to Jax but I do and I just need---I need to tell you one thing. *She starts to hit the door* Jason! *Camera shoots to Sonny he is sitting on the floor next to the vent listening to her* *She starts to bang and kick on the door harder* Jason! *She finally gives up. She starts to walk away from the door and notices something. She looks at the wall and places her hand on it. She finally notices the vent.* B- Hello? Is somebody there? *Camera shoots to Sonny he's upset that she realizes someone is in the other room* *Camera goes back to Brenda. She is staring at the vent in the wall* *end scene* *Scene 4* *Sonny and Brenda's Safehouse continued* *Brenda starts to lean down closer to the vent* B - Hello? *She sits down in front of the vent* Are you one of Sonnys guards? *Camera goes to Sonny, he is upset that she realizes someone is there* You know I can see you moving through the grate. *Camera back on Sonny, he tries to move away from the vent* You're not very talkative are you? You must be friends with Jason *she laughs and we see Sonny slowly close and then open his eyes again* She extends her hand out to him* Hi. Im Brenda whats your name? *Camera shoots to Sonny he's still listening* I God, I am going crazy. *She puts her head in her hands* Well, look, who ever you are Sonny wouldn't have wanted me to be locked up and he's watching us you know. *She throws her head back in frustration* Jason blames me. I mean, he hasnt actually come out and said that but I know that he does. Maybe it is my fault *Brenda starts to get choked up* I never wanted to hurt him *camera on Sonny* or anyone *Sonny looks sorry, regretful in a way. Like he knows how she feels* *Camera back on Brenda* I just wanted to protect him. No matter what happened. I---I always loved him. *Camera back on Sonny, a look of sadness shines across his face. *end scene* *Scene 5* *Sonny and Brenda's Safehouse continued* B- I'm gonna see him lying dead in the rain for the rest of my life. *Sarcastic laugh* However long that is. Oh. The only thing that matters to me now is protecting Jax. *Camera on Sonnys face* Ya know, Sonny would understand that. He knows what its like to have a life on your conscience. *Sonnys eyes close at that remark. A look of understanding on his face* I'd give anything---to see him. Right now. *Camers flashes to Sonny, he is visibly saddened* I'd give anything to talk to him right now. *Camera back on Sonny, nothing but sadness shows in his eyes* *end scene* *Scene 6* *Sonny and Brenda's Safehouse* *Brenda kicks the vent in frustration* B - Hey. You still in there? *Sonny stands up, still next to the vent* "Brenda stands up as well* B- *Angrily* So is there anything that I could do or say that would possibly make you go against your orders? *Camers on Sonny, no reaction. He's still listening intently* Probably not, right? Of course not. Thats what you boys do. You follow orders. *Camera on Sonny, a broad smile on his face as he listens to Brenda's last remark* *Mocking tone* Oh, Oh I better not break the rules. I'm gonna get in trouble." I feel bad for you, you know that? *Camera on Sonny, he raises his hand to his lips and continues to listen.* No Matter how much time I spent with Sonny, I never understood you people. *Camera back on Sonny and then to Brenda* Isn't it weird how your whole life can just change? *She snaps her fingers* Just like that. *The camera on Sonny, he starts to soften just a bit.* *Back to Brenda, her eyes start to tear over and her voice becomes shaky* Just in one moment. *Camera on Sonny, he has a distant far off look on his face* *Camera back to Brenda* Ya know one day I was walking on the Pier *laughs in spite of herself* I was carrying my little suitcase *Camera on Sonny, he is obviously remembering* and this man walked up to me and asked me if I needed any help.. FLASHBACKS Sonny and Brenda meet officially on the docks. They both grab the suitcase. Their hands touch and he looks at her in amazement. Valentine's Day. He's reading a magazine, looks up and there's Brenda all wrapped up in wrapping paper with a bow tied in front and she mouths "Unwrap me". He smiles a huge dimpled grin back at her. Washington, DC. He takes her hand to his mouth and kisses it. A camera shot of his face. Puerto Rico. Brenda resting her head on Sonnys chest while their in the hot tub. Sonny and Brenda kissing on the beach in Puerto Rico. The Proposal in the Penthouse. Sonny gets on one knee in front of Brenda as she is sitting on the couch. He looks up at her, she looks at him almost cautiously. He starts to speak and gets nervous and laughs. He pouts his head in his hands for a moment then summons up the courage. He looks back up and her and whispers almost "Will you be my wife?" She has a smile on her face and tears in her eyes. The Last unmarried date - He walks to her and she extends her hand. He pulls her in close to him and they dance slowly. As close as tow people could be. Washington, DC - She holds out her hands and Sonny places his face in them. A camera shot of Brenda laying down on the bed looking up at Sonny. The look of pure love and desire in her eyes. She starts to bring his face down to her. He kisses her forehead, her nose then her lips. He pulls her up. END OF FLASHBACKS *Camera comes in on Sonny he is sideways with his head and shoulder against the wall as he is stroking his cheek with his hand, he has a smile on his face. Its obvious that he still holds those memories close to him.* *Camera pans to Brenda. She approaches the opposite side of the wall and leans her head against it. A touch of sadness in her eyes as she remembers* *Camera back on Sonny. He is still remembering* *Camera back to Brenda. She places her head on the wall, Their heads are almost in the same place, almost like there is no wall separating them and they are leaning on each other. She arches her eyebrow and a small smile plays across her lips. |
