GARDENING
This is my mom's garden in QC-
You see the carpet of flowers? That's PORTULACA - commonly known as the Vietnam Rose -  Anyway,  when we went to Punta Fuego - we stopped by this house with a gazebo by the cliff with colorful mat of flowers to  take pictures -  and then there was this gardener tending the garden -and asked for some  cuttings and he so kindly and generously obliged.

This is low maintenance being that Portulacas are succulent plants - they are drought resistant and to propagate - you only have to pencil pinch the soil and stick in those cuttings.

Before you know it - you'll have a beautiful colorful mat of flowers too.

Here's my mom's japanese garden and of course the bonsai is my brother's doing.
I planted  the portulaca  mat in the driveway and have spread it out all over my mom's garden whenever I go home.
