He was sent off on December 21, General (Encampment) Hospital No. 2, Summerville. He died 1 May 1935 and was buried in Mount Zion UMC, Pickens County

Garvin, Robert May, born 27 Jun 1848 in Pickens County, admitted to Wayside (1st Louisana) Confederate Hospital, Charleston on 20 Dec 1864 for Dysentery. He was sent off on December 21, General (Encampment) Hospital No. 2, Summerville where he died. He was buried in Mount Zion UMC, Pickens County.
