Rendezvoused at Hamburg, S.C. Upon organization of Regt., J. J. McIver elected Major, Eli Odom promoted 1st Lt., Z. W. Rogers, 2nd Lt. and O. S. Kirkpatrick, 3rd Lt. Co. took part in defence of Savannah, protecting C.&.S. R.R. Acted as rear guard on retreat from James Island. With Johnston, until Raleigh was reached. Then detached to guard the Central N.C. R. R. Sent back to S.C. After surrender disbanded.
