Family Pictures

The McDermotts emigrated from the Currin Parish in County Monaghan, Ireland (photo below).  The 1827 Tithe Applotment and 1860 Griffith Valuation records indicate the location of McDermott families before and after the Famine. According to my mother our McDermotts settled in New Diggings, WI.  At the time of 1850 Wisconsin Census there were three separate McDermott households living in New Diggings, WI (see below).
