Cris Carter finished 1999 fourth all-time in receptions, third all-time in TD receptions, and in the top dozen in receiving yardage.

Cris has led the league in TD catches three seasons (13 TDs in 1999), which is 3rd place All-Time (Rice did it 6 times, and Don Hutson did it an incredible 9 times).

In the 1990's, C.C. was 2nd in receptions(835) and in TD catches(95), (Jerry Rice led in both categories with 860 catches, 103 TDs).

During the 90s, Cris was 3rd in receiving yardage, with 10,238 yards (Rice had 12,078 and Michael Irvin had 10,872).

Also, for the 1990's, C.C. was tied for 3rd in overall TDs scored, his 95 TDs equalled Barry Sanders' 95 and was behind only Rice (110) and Emmitt Smith (147).

If Cris Carter produces like normal in 2000, he should move up to 2nd place All-Time for receptions, and into 2nd place in TD receptions.

Carter, Randy Moss and Leroy Hoard became the first trio of teammates to each score 10 touchdowns in two consecutive seasons.

In 1999, C.C. and Randy Moss amassed 2654 yards receiving, 2nd All-Time for a pair of teammates (Mark Clayton and Mark Duper racked up 2695 yds. in 1984). This was only the third time in league history that a pair of receivers each tallied over 1200 yards receiving.

Randy Moss's 11 TDs give him a total of 28 in his first 2 seasons (32 games), which puts him on a pace to pass Jerry Rice for all-time TDs, if Randy plays football as long as Rice did (so far.)

Gary Anderson, the current Viking kicker, passed Thurman Thomas and Emmitt Smith to take 1st place All-Time for points scored in playoff games, with 133. Smith and Thomas each have 126.

Mr. Anderson's 28 playoff FGs are 1st All-Time, and his 49 PATs are tied for 1st with George Blanda. His 35 FG attempts in playoff games are 2nd All-Time, behind Blanda's 39 attempts.

And while we're at it, Anderson scored 1130 points in the 1990s, on 253 FGs and 371 PATs. All three are 1st place in the 90s.

The Vikings have played 38 playoff games (3rd All-Time, one behind San Fran's 39 and behind Dallas' 53 playoff games). The Vikes are 17-21 in those games, tying Dallas for most playoff losses when the Vikings handed Dallas their 21st playoff defeat on January 9th, 2000 and promptly picked up their own 21st loss the next week. If the Vikes had defeated St. Louis the next week it would have been the Rams' 21st playoff loss, but as it stands, the Rams are third in this particular Hall Of Shame. I mention these painful things only to bring back some reality to the fans of the Cowgirls and Shams.
