The Scandinavian Women's Chorus of Rhode Island
					Valkommen!
						We are a small women's chorus dedicated to singing music in Swedish. We also sing music in English. Our chorus belongs to The American Union of Swedish Singers (AUSS). We sing at least two concerts a year, one in the spring and one in late November or early December. These are joint concerts that we do with the Verdandi Male Choir, the Swedish men's chorus. At each of these concerts we sing at least two pieces with them. In recent years we, together with the men, have preformend with The Armenian Chorus of Rhode Island and with the Schubert Chor and Lorelei Damenchor. Many of our singers also participate in regional and national AUSS conventions.
			Like to Sing?
			Like to sing? We NEED new members! Please join us! We meet Tuesdays 7:30 at the Scandiavian Nursing Home on Warwick Avenue in Cranston. You do not have to speak Swedish (or even be Swedish) to join. Membership only costs $15 a year, much less than what it costs to sing with some choirs. This is a great way to learn about Swedish culture or just to have fun singing!
