A Walk Down Memory Chain
by Margaret Fraleigh
A walk down (the) memory chain ...
The very first issue of the newsletter rolled off the press on July 15, 1997.  Catherine Cooper was the editor.
Denise Laudenberger won the Name the Newsletter contest.  Chains of Thought was born.
COT first issue (round) included articles from Angela Best, Carol Alexander, Sue M, Dana Clark, Barbara von Lingen, Catherine Cooper and Kathy Stamps.
In that issue (round) Kathy shared the following poem:

I do so love this crochet craft,
Though you may think I am quite daft,
I can crochet "by the book"
And I can crochet while I cook
I can make it round or square
And I can take it anywhere
I can crochet on a train
I can crochet in the rain
Do you have a crochet itch?
Then grab a hook and find your niche!
As I was reading the first issue (round), I observed a notation, that some of the columnists are no longer on the Crochet List.  I wanted to say "thanks" to these ladies for creating the Chains of Thought newsletter.  So if you know these ladies, please extend my thanks for putting their dreams to paper.
White Christmas

I'm dreaming of a white Christmas
Just like the ones I used to know
Where the treetops glisten
and children listen
To hear sleigh bells in the snow

I'm dreaming of a white Christmas
With every Christmas card I write
May your days be merry and bright
And may all your Christmases be white
