Challenge with Maria

Do you like to crochet?
Do you like to crochet for charity?
Is there a Charity that is your favorite?
Do you run a charity?
Are you proud of a charity?
Do you want to share your charity with your Crochet Friends?
Would you like to see a charity on the 2006 CAT Schedule?

If you answered yes to any of these questions than you should be a sponsor for the 2006 Charity Challenge CAT Season.  It is so simple and the best part is that no charity is too big and no charity is too small and no charity is to near and no charity is too far, all charities are welcome.
Below you will find the 2006 Sponsorship Request Form for CLCAT that has gone out to all of Crochetlist.
The monthly Charity Challenges run January - October 2006.  Therefore we have room for a minimum of ten (10) charities and a maximum of twenty (20) charities.
Connie and I wold love to see some new charities, some never done before charities, charities from near and charities from far, so please share your charity with your crochet friends because it is our hopes that we can have some amazing never been done before charities for this season.
To be a Charity Challenge Sponsor for the 2006 CLCAT Charity Challenge season, you must be a Crochetlist Member in good standing, this means that your name does not appear on either the CL Caution or Danger Listings.  As a sponsor you must agree to abide by the following:
a)  collecting the items pledged via snail mail,
b)  keeping track of and filling in a database of the items        received and also being a good communicator with me and the pledgors,
c)  on the deadline for items to be received, the sponsor will  select a random winner from those who pledged and sent (1 chance per item),
d)  provide and mail a CAT Charity Challenge Prize Pac to  the winner, in a timely manner about 2 weeks from the deadline date and
e)  deliver the items to the charity
If you agree to the above and want to sponsor a Charity for 2006, click the link on my email making sure it is being sent to me privately (do not send this request to the list since it will contain private information, such as snail mail and telephone numbers) at
Mal1go2@aol.com and answer the following:
1)  What is the name of the Charity and their website address?
2)  Tell me a bit about the charity, what it does, who it supports, and how long you have been involved with it?
3)  The reason you feel this charity should be on the CLCAT Charity Challenge Schedule for 2006 and what crocheted and non-crocheted items would be needed (no money is allowed to be pledged even if pledgors want to send that type of support)
4)  If selected, what month would you like for your charity         challenge? (please select three months numbering them in           priority order 1, 2, 3)
_____ Jan   _____ Feb _____ March _____ April _____ May
_____ June _____ July _____ Aug     _____ Sept _____ Oct
5)  Your general information as a sponsor (Name, CL email       address, Snail mail address (this will be the address where the pledged items will be sent and a contact phone number which will be kept private)
The deadline for sending in a Sponsorship Request Form is Monday, November 21, 2005.  Once all the emails are in a selection process will be held and charities will be selected for the 2006 season and an announcement will go out on or about December 1st sharing the 2006 Schedule.  Connie and I look forward to reading each and every sponsorship request.
If you have any questions and or concerns please feel free to email me privately with them.

White Christmas

I'm dreaming of a white Christmas
Just like the ones I used to know
Where the treetops glisten
and children listen
To hear sleigh bells in the snow

I'm dreaming of a white Christmas
With every Christmas card I write
May your days be merry and bright
And may all your Christmasses be white
Let it Snow!

Oh the weather outside is frightful,
But the fire is so delightful,
And since we've no place to go,
Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow

It doesn't show signs of stopping,
And I brought some corn for popping;
The lights are turned way down low,
Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow

When we finally say good night,
How I'll hate going out in the storm;
But if you really hold me tight,
All the way home I'll be warm

The fire is slowly dying,
And, my dear, we're still good-bye-ing,
But as long as you love me so,
Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow
