MR. JEFF OBED.
DBSA BANK OF SOUTH AFRICA,
9TH FLOOR, HEERENGRACHT TOWER,
CAPE TOWN, SOUTH AFRICA.
EMAIL: JOBED2@TOTALISE.CO.UK
Attn: The President/CEO
I am Mr. Jeff Obed, Provincial Manager DBSA Bank of South Africa,
Capetown, Branch. I have urgent and very confidential business proposition for
you.
On June 6, 1999, a foreign mining consultant/contractor with the South
Africa Mining Corporation, Mr. Richard Moss made a numbered time (Fixed)
Deposit for twelve calendar months, valued at US$12,500,000.00 (Twelve million,
Five Hundred Thousand Dollars) in my branch. Upon maturity, I sent a
routine notification to his forwarding address but got no reply. After a
month, we sent a reminder and finally we discovered from his contract employers,
the South Africa Mining Corporation that Mr. Richard Moss died from an
automobile accident. On further investigation, I found out that he died without
making a WILL, and all attempts to trace his next of kin was fruitless.
I therefore made further investigation and discovered that Mr. Richard
Moss did not declare any kin or relations in all his official documents,
including his Bank Deposit paperwork in my Bank. This sum of US$12,500,000.00
is
still sitting in my Bank and the interest is being rolled over with the
principal sum at the end of each year. No one will ever come forward to claim
it. According to South African Law, at the expiration of 5 (five) years,
the money will revert to the ownership of the South Africa Government if nobody
applies to claim the fund.
Consequently, my proposal is that I will like you as a foreigner to
stand in as the next of kin to Mr. Richard Moss so that the fruits of this old
man's labour will not get into the hands of some corrupt government
officials. This is simple, I will like you to provide immediately your full
names and
address so that the Attorney will prepare the necessary documents and
affidavits which will put you in place as the next of kin. We shall employ the
service
of two Attorneys for processing and notarization of the WILL and to obtain the
necessary documents and letter of probate/administration in your favour
for the transfer. A bank account in any part of the world which you will
provide will then facilitate the transfer of this money to you as the
beneficiary/next of kin. The money will be paid into your account for us to
share in
the ratio of 60% for me and 40% for you.
There is no risk at all as all the paperwork for this transaction will
be done by the Attorney and my position as the Branch Manager guarantees the
successful execution of this transaction. If you are interested, please
reply immediately via the private email address: jobed2@totalise.co.uk Upon
your response, I shall then provide you with more details and relevant
documents that will help you understand the transaction.
Please observe utmost confidentiality, and rest assured that this
transaction would be most profitable for both of us because I shall require
your
assistance to invest my share in your country.
Awaiting your urgent reply via my email: jobed2@totalise.co.uk
Thanks and regards.
Mr. Jeff Obed.
Dear Sir,
I received your mail and I wish to thank you immensely
for your kind interest to co-operate with me on this
transaction and your willingness to support and assist
me in this transaction. Please, find hereunder the
details of the transaction for better understanding.
Actually this transaction is real, and one hundred
percent risk free and does not relate to any breach of
law or proceed from drugs. It is a matter of necessity
to contact you for this transaction without further
investigation about your person, as I view you to be a
more responsible personality. It is therefore
necessary that you tell me a little about yourself. I
hope you would not betray me. As for Trust, it is a
given thing that trust is earned, it is not given out
lightly; however, because I need you in this
transaction, I must give you my trust; it is worth 40%
of this money... I believe that this will keep you
from holding back to my own share of the money if the
transaction is completed.
Like I stated in my proposal, I will like you to
provide your full names and address as at 1999-2000 so
that the Attorney will prepare the necessary documents
and affidavits which will put you in place as the next
of kin. We shall hire two separate attorneys.
The first attorney will process the WILL, which will
name you as the beneficiary/sole executor of the Will.
Once it is done I will send you a copy by fax for your
records. The second attorney will file in the Federal
High court with an appropriate affidavit in order to
secure a letter of probate empowering you as the next
of kin/Sole Beneficiary and Trustee/Sole Executor of
the Estate of Mr. Richard Moss which includes the sum
of US$12.5M lying in the account number which I shall
give you. The essence of hiring two attorneys is to
maintain absolute confidentiality and to make sure
that both attorneys will not have the details of this
transaction and thereby prevent them from knowing that
this is a deal.
Upon preparation of these documents and approvals from
the Ministry of Justice, the letter of probate will be
granted in your favour which will give you the
authority to request for the transfer of this money to
your account. We will then forward your particulars
to our correspondence bank in London who will now
transfer the money to your nominated account. All
these processes will be accomplished within 10 working
days and money will be transferred to your account
immediately. The very good thing about this
transaction is that it will be done in a very proper
and legal manner.
I would like you to make available to me your private
telephone and fax number so that we can discuss and I
can also send you via fax a copy of my ID card and the
certificate of the fixed deposit for your assurance
that this is a genuine transaction and I want you to
take it very seriously.
Please confirm your willingness by providing all the
requested information above. All modalities for the
successful completion of this transaction has been
mapped out provided that you maintain absolute
confidentiality and keep to my instructions I shall
hand over to you from time to time for a successful
completion. For security reasons, I have not
disclosed my real name and the real name of the bank
where I work. Once I clarify your willingness to
proceed with the transaction, then I shall give you my
real name and my ID card and as well send you the copy
of the certificate of deposit and statement of account
for Mr. Richard Moss.
Please call me for further explanation on my telephone
number: 27 731 658 646 and my fax number is 27 731 656
447 or you may send me a mail with further
information about yourself before we proceed further.
Very truly yours,
Jeff Obed.

Dear Mr Obed.
Firstly I would like to make it clear again that I am female. If you noticed
in my
reply I said Scarlett Barker (Ms). The (Ms) means that I am female and am not
married.
Is that a problem? I notice that you started your email with a "Dear Sir".
Is this offer only open to males and not females?
I need to know where I stand in this before I start emailing you my personal details.
I'm sure you understand my predicament. There are too many strange blokes out there in the world that may want to take advantage of a young, wealthy, good looking, big breasted girl, that is myself.
Please can you email me assurances that this is all above board and that no one will take advantage of me as I am still single and looking for a husband to share my wealth here in Australia.
I have told you too much already and as there is no erase key on this keyboard, I cannot delete any of my information.
I will await your assurances by email.
Thank you.
Scarlett Barker (Ms).

Dear friend,
Further to our correspondences and your further information, I am
hereby sending you copies of the following documents.
a) My ID card.
b) My International Passport.
c) The certificate of Deposit in favor of Mr. Richard Moss
d) A statement of account for Mr. Richard Moss
As you can see, my real name is MR. BANE MALEKE [gosh!]
as indicated in the ID
but for security reasons, I do not want my real name mentioned in this
transaction. My real name is for you only. I want to be referred to as
Fred Mende and my email sent to my private email address as usual. The
reason for concealing such information is also for my own security. I
have decided to reveal all these information to you because I have seen
your seriousness in this transaction and I believe that you will keep
all these information very confidential. I hope that all these
documents will help you in taking a decision about participating fully in this
transaction.
I am hereby assuring you that you will have no cause to regret your
involvement in this transaction. I wish to let you know that the key
factor in this transaction is trust and confidentiality. If you need any
other document in order to assure yourself that you are doing a genuine
transaction, just let me know and I will be ready to make that
available to you. On the other hand, if I need any document that will re -
assure me that you will not make away with my share of the money, I will
demand it from you and I trust that you will oblige me with such
document or documents.
I want you to make available your private addresss so that the Attorney
will go ahead to process the WILL, which will name you as the
beneficiary to the estate of Mr. Richard Moss. With this WILL process and
notarized in your favor, we shall now employ the services of another
attorney to process the letter of probate which will now authorize you as the
beneficiary to the WILL to write to our bank for the transfer of the
money to your account. The letter of probate is the legal bedrock of
this transaction. Once it is obtained, it means now that you can now
act according to the instructions on the WILL. I assure you that this
transaction will only take 10 working days to conclude.
I am waiting for your urgent reply via a telephone call, a fax message
or an email message that you have received this documents and we will

Subject: The WILL
Dear Ms. Scarlett,
I am happy to inform you that the first Attorney has concluded with the WILL.
I am hereby sending you a copy of the duly signed and Notarised WILL which makes
you the beneficiary/sole executor to the estate of Mr. Richard Moss.
With this WILL in your name, all we need now is for the second Attorney to process
the letter of probate which will empower you as the beneficiary in the WILL
to act according to the instructions in the WILL. I have paid the first Attorney
that processed the WILL a total of US$6,700. I have also forwarded the original
copy of the WILL to the second
Attorney and presented you as a client who needs his service. The total fees
for the letter of probate is US$12,450 and I have already paid US$6,750 leaving
out a balance of US$5,700 to be paid to him after he has concluded with the
letter of probate. Of course this is just probate fees payable to the Probate
Registry and Department of Justice.
The attorney will contact soon. I have given him your telephone number and your email address. His name is Mr. Ekene Okeke and his email address is okekekene@lawyer.com Note that he does not know that this is a deal. So do not discuss the other aspect of the transaction with him. If he calls you, you may tell him to send you an email or fax message to avoid talking to him so that he may not ask you any question which you cannot conveniently answer.
My dear friend, this stage of the transaction is very important and you have
to handle it with all carefulness. Remember to still keep the transaction confidential.
The processing of the letter of probate will take about 2 days after which I
will send to you a sample copy of a letter of transfer, which you will copy
and send it to the bank requesting for the withdrawal of the US$12.5M with interest
from the account. Please, let me know immediately the Attorney contacts you.
Once the letter
of probate is granted, the attorney will send you the original copy of the WILL
and the Letter of Probate by courier for your record.
I am awaiting your urgent call or reply that you have received this email.
Very truly yours,
Bane
