This site is dedicated to Narcotics Anonymous, the program that saved my life and showed me how to live. I was taught that gratitude is an action and Pearls' Place is based on this belief. This site is simply the shared lessons, experiences, principles and humor of one member. Because of my gratitude for what was so freely given to me, I attempt to give that back, in part, here.

Narcotics Anonymous is a 12-Step fellowship of addicts, who meet regularly to help each other stay clean and recover. Who is an addict? Very simply, it's anyone whose life is controlled by drugs. Our common problem is addiction, a disease that expresses itself in ways that are anti-social and make detection, diagnosis and treatment difficult.

In NA, we don't care which drugs you used, in what quantity, the cost, or how you got them. We also don't care about your money, property, or prestige... if you have any of those things left. What we do care about is helping any addict, who is seeking recovery, find it in Narcotics Anonymous. If you're an addict and have found this program, please give yourself a break and try it!
