South Corning Fire Department 1 Clark Street Corning, New York 14830 607-937-5866 business calls only |
The South Corning Fire Department was established in 1965 to provide fire protection to the Village of South Corning and the southwestern portion of the Town of Corning. Currently there are forty two dedicated men and women serving in the community. Our fleet of trucks consists of two engines, a rescue vehicle, water tanker, brush truck, boat ,and a all terrain vehicle. This year we purchased two trucks, a new engine and a suburban to run EMS calls. On a average the department is running 180 calls per year. They consist of EMS calls, structure fires, motor vehicle accidents, vehicle fires and mutual aid to surrounding departments. In addition, we also have a great group which makes up the South Corning Fire Dept. Auxiliary. We are currently looking for new members in both the fire department and the auxiliary for more information see our newsletter. |
