Genre: Humor, I hope
Disclaimer: I had an e-mail magically reproduce itself three times, so I started to think how embarrassing it would be to send e-mail to, . well you'll read. I hope noone has the name I made up, I thought about asking to use some real names, but decided I didn't want to wait for permission. Oh yeah, Ray K and Fraser belong to Allience, but I think they enjoy fooling around with me.

Roy Kowelski sat at his computer . He was e-mailing his former partner and lover, Benjamin Frasier. Roy really missed Ben, who had been reassigned two weeks ago. Roy poured his heart out to Ben. He blushed at the intimate acts he was describing . He smiled to think how uncomfortable Ben would be reading his smutty message. Before he could chicken out, Roy hit the send button and his heartfelt message joined others on their cyber journey. The next couple of days were hectic and Roy did not get to check his e-mail for several days. Imagine his surprise, when he sat down at his computer and checked his mail and found he had 378 unread messages in his mailbox. Roy opened up his mail and began to read his messages. Message after message praised his clever story., begged for sequels, and offered suggestions. " Story, what story?" Roy thought perplexedly.

Roy did not understand many of the allusions that were made. What the heck could purple toast mean? Why did several people keep mentioning lanyards and stetsons? He was positive he knew no one named Turnbull. People with weird names like Copsmut and Schmezer2 were responding to his message to Ben. Most of the people mentioned Ray K and Benton Fraser, who were they? It was kinda weird that their names were so close to Roy's and Benjamin's. Something terribly wrong must have occurred. Someone was playing a terrible joke on Roy. He continued to read his mail hoping against hope that there would be a message from Ben. All he kept reading were responses to his e-mail, but they were most definitely not from Ben. He had gotten 378 messages from individuals, most of which he was sure he never wanted to meet, let alone do some of the nasty things they suggested. What was the fascination with marmalade and jam, anyway, and handcuffs , always with the handcuffs. Roy shook his head. He decided to keep looking to see if one of the messages might be from Ben. Finally he found a brief message from Frasier . Ben was concerned because he had not heard from Roy and he wanted to make sure everything was all right. Roy immediately began to e-mail Ben a response. When the box to reply came up Roy noticed Ben's e-mail address. He had never really paid any attention to it before. :Sarge@yahoogroups.com seemed like a weird address for one person to have, but as with many situations involving Frasier, Roy had learned not to ask. Roy had an epiphany. He hurriedly went back to his saved e-mail, found the message he had tried to send to Ben. To his horror he realized that he had somehow sent his very private message to something called : Serge@yahoogroups.com. He found out that Serge was apparently dedicated to discussion about a Mountie who somehow came to Chicago and got involved with the Chicago police department. This was a television show. These people weren't real, but many other people gave them life through their writing. Roy shook his head again. He had certainly learned a valuable lesson. Always check to make sure the e-mail address is correct. So after checking to make sure he had Frasier's correct he e-mailed him again. Roy decided he would wait to tell Ben of his trip into the world of fan fiction.Ben would probably think he made it up.
