Personal evangelism is done during the performance, and many times counseling, afterwards in their trailer. Preaching services are often held in the grandstands. Crowds of 300 are not unusual.
Not to be out done by booze companies or corporate sponsors, Christians in rodeo have excellent hospitality suites at larger rodeos such as Houston, Kansas City, Denver and Fort Worth, and since these are staffed by Christian people, they become ministry centers as well. At one rodeo, over 3,500 people are served meals and the Word of God at hospitality suites.
Linda's forte is music and puppets!!!! At an average rodeo about 20 children will forsake the adult service and attend "Buckeroo and Buckarette Church”. With Linda and her puppet ranch hands Prescott Pete, Sylvester the Clown, Penelope Primrose the Rodeo Queen, Dorky the bucking horse, and the Crazy Caffeine Featherhead Choir - kids are taught Bible lessons from their point of view!!!
Especially thrilling has been the maturing of former attendees of Buckaroo church bringing their children of a new generation to Linda so they can hear about Jesus at these rodeos.
