Bridget A. Schuy, born in Brooklyn, New York, made her radio debut hosting The Bedrock Block on Fordham University’s 50,000 watt WFUV. The Bedrock Block was a late nite cult fave featuring classic as well as underground rock, and at the core was the New York Garage scene.

Listeners were treated to cutting edge music, requested classics, and probing interviews. Bridget’s inquisitive interview style quickly earned her the unofficial title of, “The Barbara Walters of WFUV.” (Not to mention, a spot on every hip club/venue guest list in N.Y., for years even after her graduation…)

Other U.S. airwave guest stints included appearances on WCBS-FM, WNYU, & WKRB.

Bridget thinks she has a voice that can transcend 56 countries across five time zones, and, like music, calm the savage beast (especially between 9 and noon on Saturday mornings).

Schoolhouse Rock is alive and well and has got one eager new student. Tune in, turn on, and rock out.
