This spot on the web is dedicated to Science Fiction and modeling in general. I am a science fiction nut, trying to be a science fiction writer and aspiring to be a master model builder. All works in progress.
Latest News:April 20th, 2004 I am concentrating on NIMO right now. I want to finish my Hawk 82 (Trumpy P-40B). Don't know how it slipped my notice, I was so impressed with the kit and the reviews were so impressed with the kit but it needs some major work. The cockpit has a floor which makes it way too shallow, 2-3 scale feet. So I have to heavily modify the cockpit to rest on the wing. I also want to open up panels in the nose to view the excellent engine. Progress pics posted as they come in to the left On the Bench I've got my Trumpeter 1/35 Hind. It's looking like a Nats project in a diorama with troops disembarking and the rotors spinning. Now I'm waiting for the 1/32 Avenger. Other things I'm waiting for on the horizon - Polar Lights is coming out with a massive -Who can believe it- 1/350th NCC-1701 Enterprise from Star Trek: The Motion Picture. Thirty-five inches long! Man imagine it, three 1/350th Enterprises: The Tamiya Nuclear Carrier, The Trumpeter Hornet converted to the WWII Carrier and now the Starship, all next to each other on a shelf. A BIG shelf. Polar Lights also has a model of the Reman Scorpion from Star Trek; Nemesis and the NX-01 should be out any year now. Fine Molds needs to get their behinds in gear too. LG |
