Experiment #1 – Milk Kaleidoscope

Materials Needed:

· Milk

· Food coloring

· Bowl

· Dishwashing Liquid

What to do

1. Fill a bowl with milk

2. Place drops of various colors of food coloring in the milk

3. Place a drop of dishwashing liquid in the center

4. Watch what happens!

Experiment #2 – Pepper Scoot

Materials Needed:

· Bowl

· Water

· Pepper

· Dishwashing Liquid

What to Do:

1. Fill a bowl with water.

2. Sprinkle pepper on the water – enough to cover the water

3. Put a drop of dishwashing liquid on your finger

4. Dip your finger in the center of the water

5. Watch what happens!

Experiment #3 – Bottle Balloons

Materials Needed:

· Balloons

· Empty soda bottle

· Vinegar

· Baking Soda

· Funnel

What to Do:

1. Put four tablespoons of baking soda into the bottle using the funnel.

2. Pour about ¼ cup of vinegar in the bottle.

3. IMMEDIATELY cover the bottle with the balloon.

4. Watch what happens!

Experiment #4 – Film Canister Rockets

Materials Needed:

· Film Canister

· Vinegar

· Baking Soda

· Paper Towels

· Eye protection

What to Do:

1. Tear a small piece of paper towel about the size of a Band-Aid

2. Wrap a small amount of baking soda in the paper towel and place in the film canister.

3. Pour a teaspoon of vinegar in the canister

4. IMMEDIATELY place the lid on the canister and place lid down on the table.

5. MOVE out of the way and Enjoy the show!
