#1 Lava Lamp Bottle

Materials Needed:

· Plastic soda bottle

· Oil

· Water

· Food coloring

· Glitter

· Help from your parents

What to Do:

1. Use the food coloring to color the water your choice of colors.

2. Fill the bottle ¾ with water

3. Fill the bottle the rest of the way with oil.

4. Put in glitter, sequins, etc.

5. Put the lid on

6. Shake the bottle

#2 Cartesian Diver

Materials Needed:

· Three Liter clear soda bottle

· Eyedroppers

· Food coloring

· Water

· Help from your parents

What to Do:

1. Fill the soda bottle with water.

2. Use the food coloring to dye the water any color you want.

3. Fill the eyedroppers half way with water of different colors and place them in the soda bottle

4. Put the lid on

5. Squeeze the bottle.

#3 Density Stacker

Materials Needed:

· Syrup

· Cooking oil

· Water

· Cork

· Grape

· Plastic pen cap

· Help from your parents

What to Do:

1. Fill the tall glass or vase 1/3 of the way with syrup

2. Next fill it 1/3 of the way with water

3. Next fill it 1/3 of the way with cooking oil.

4. Put in the pen cap, cork, and grape

5. What happens?
