SCM The South Charleston Museum
At the Historic LaBelle Theatre

All exhibitions, programming and operations take place inside the historic LaBelle Theatre, a newly restored Art Deco era theatre, that houses both the museum and the South Charleston Convention &  Visitors Bureau.  The South Charleston Museum is a totally separate organization from the South Charleston Convention &  Visitors Bureau, but shares offices and space within the LaBelle Theatre.  If you would like more information on the South Charleston Convention & Visitors Bureau, please telephone at 304-746-5552.  All rentals and use of the theatre must be arranged with the SCCVB, not the South Charleston Museum.

The South Charleston Museum strives to create a casual learning experience that will appeal to all ages and interests.  The purpose of this community museum is to promote the social, educational, and cultural history of South Charleston and the Kanawha Valley, and to collect, preserve, and make available important artifacts relating to its culture and history.

Founded in 1989, the South Charleston Museum Foundation has guided the creation of the museum, with the help of its Director/Curator, a group of dedicated volunteers, and generous support from the City of South Charleston.
