Spring Break in Destin, FL
Maravilla Beach Resort
It was 78 and sunny all week, and we all came home sporting sun tans! Not a bad thing after the cold Central Illinois winter we had!!
We shared a 3 bdrm, 2 bath condo with Jim, Dora, Taylor & Jared Payne, also of Tremont. TJ and Jared are "bestest" friends from preschool, and it was fun to see them together on the beach and in the pool. They are SO much alike that people even asked us if they were twins!
The beach was beautiful, the pool was fun ... and the condo was very nice. We enjoyed eating at Pompano Joe's, Gilligan's, Mellow Mushroom Pizza, The Crab Trap, AJ's, Bimini Beach Club, The Whale Tail, and more!!
After all the beach vacations we have taken over the years, we got our first jellyfish stings (all four of us!) while playing in the surf and riding waves on the boogie board. It was lots of fun, regardless ... but it took some doing to get the boys back into the ocean after the jellyfish sting experiences!
This was maybe our last family trip prior to getting our baby girl, so we had a great time as a family of four, and look forward to next time as five?? :-)
