NY – April 15, 2003
– Today marks the 20th Anniversary of Decker Tool Rental.
Michael Decker, Founder and President states, “I never thought I
would make it one year never mind 20 years.
I should have an accounting degree,” Mr. Decker sarcastically
suggests. Decker continues,
“Being a ‘hands-on’ owner allows for better employee relations.
Customers appreciate dealing with an owner in most areas and it
keeps them returning. Good
employees, flexible business policies and remembering where you came from
have been the key components to the success.”
On
April 15, 1983, Decker Tool Rental opened at 578 Commerce Street with
nothing larger than a rotor tiller and one employee, Mr. Decker.
Twenty years later the company now has over 200 pieces of rental
equipment in stock, eight employees staffing their two locations, and has
won several industry awards.
“Our
growth has been achieved because of our superior customer relationships.
We also continued to strive to be very competitive in pricing,
business policies, operating hours and flexibility,” quotes Mr. Decker.
