Credit goes to Fat Sal for this recipe. Aqualad is a very simple custom. He is built on an Aquaman base, but I removed his legs and added Flash's legs. This makes Aqualad a bit shorter than Aquaman. After attaching Flash's legs to the body, sculpt on his brief line with Sculpey. All that is left to do is prime, paint, and seal! Be sure to paint his eyes purple for authenticy's sake. If you want this custom to be even simpler, just leave on Aquaman's legs and grind off his fins with your Dremel. I decided not to give Aqualad an afro like he had in the comics. I tried it, but it just looked stupid. I think he looks much better this way. And he's my custom, so I can do what I want. Nyah. |
