To build Bizarro, I first cut the top of Superman's hair off with my X-acto. I then sculpted on Bizarro's wild hairstyle with Sculpey. I also added Bizarro's angular cheeks and misshapen belt buckle. I didn't prime this figure since Bizarro's color scheme is almost identical to Superman's. I painted over the interior of the chest symbol with yellow acrylic paint. I then freehanded the backwards S symbol. Finally, I painted Bizarro's skin white. I decided not to add the "Bizarro #1" necklace. My first exposure to Bizarro was on the old "Challenge of the Super Friends" cartoon. Bizarro didn't wear the necklace on that show, so I chose not to have my figure wear it. |
