This figure has been on my wish list for quite some time, but it took me forever to get a Clark Kent base figure at a half-way reasonable price on ebay. I never could figure out why Kenner made a Clark Kent figure but no Bruce Wayne. As I said, this figure is built on a Clark Kent base with an Aquaman head. After boiling and popping the Aquaman head onto Clark's body, the rest was fairly simple. Next, I ground off Clark's tie with my Dremel. I then smoothed out the shirt area with Sculpey and sculpted Bruce's bowtie. Next, I primed the figure with a spray on primer. When I think of Bruce Wayne, I see him wearing a James Bond style white tuxedo jacket, so that's the way I painted my figure. I could have just as easily made it a traditional all-black tux. Finally, I sealed the figure with spray on acrylic sealant. I am quite pleased with the way this custom turned out. So much so, I may just get inspired to make other secret identies. |
