Catwoman is built on a Wonder Woman base. I first cut off the top of WW's head (down to the bottom of her tiara) with my X-acto. I also removed part of the back of her hair. Using my Dremel, I removed WW's boots and the stripe of her boot. I also removed her emblem and the top of her belt. Using Sculpey, I carefully sculpted Catwoman's cowl. This took quite a bit of trial and error to get right. Next, I built her belt and collar with the Sculpey. Finally, I sculpted her sleeves (over WW's bracelets) and her collar. I then primed the figure using a spray-on primer. Next, I painted her, paying careful attention to painting on her mask. After sealing the paint, I called on my beautiful wife to contruct the cloth parts of the figure. She cut out the cape and the skirt. The skirt was especially difficult, and she did a terrific job with it. I am so proud of this figure. I believe it is some of my (and my wife's) best work. |
