I started contemplating this custom years ago, but I ran into a brick wall. The problem is, it is extremely difficult to remove the Robin figure's mask and make it look right. I finally succeeded here I think. The first step was to CAREFULLY remove the mask with a Dremel. I then removed the bottom of his shirt and the buttons on his shirt. Next, I sculpted on Grayson's sleeves and pants legs. Finally, I primed and painted the figure. I decided to go with the dorky sweater vest look. When I think of young Dick Grayson back in the day, this is the way I envision him. I guess it's the Burt Ward influence. |
