The only difference between the Golden Age and Silver Age Dr. Fate is his truncated helmet. I built the Golden Age Dr. Fate by taking a Dr. Fate base figure and grinding away the bottom of his helmet. I then cut the mouth and chin area off of a Green Lantern figure. I then melded the two together using Sculpey. This is harder than it sounds. It took quite a bit of trial and error to get it to look right. I also used Sculpey to cover the original eyes on the helmet. I then painted on eyes to match the look of the Golden Age Fate's helmet. |
