Starting with a Robin base, I dremeled off the front of his tunic, collar, the tops of his shoes and his brief line. I then smoothed out the areas that I had dremeled with Sculpey. I cut off the top of Robin's head with my X-acto. I then used Sculpey to build Speedy's hat. I used Green Arrow's hat a a reference to work from. I then built Speedy's boots with sculpey. I used small amounts of sculpey to make the diagonal line of Speedy's tunic across his chest and around his neck. Taking a large blob of sculpey, I rolled it into a cylindrical tube to make Speedy's quiver. I attached the quiver to Speedy's back and used sculpey to make a strap for the quiver across his chest. I then stuck my arrows into the top of the quiver. I then painted and sealed the figure. Speedy's arrows and bow came from a Road Warrior figure that I picked up on clearance at Toys R' Us. |
