Starman
My recipe for the Golden Age Starman begins with a Superman base.  First, I cut off the top, sides and back of his head with an X-acto knife.  I then ground off his belt loops with my Dremel.  Next, using Sculpey, I scupted the round cowl onto Supe's head.  I then cut a thin piece of plastic to form Starman's head fin.  I then sank this piece of plastic into the uncured Sculpey.  Next, I sculpted Starman's holster from Sculpey.  I then drilled a small hole in the figures hand.  I inserted a cylindrical piece of scrap plastic into the hole.  Using Sculpey, I formed the tip and contours of Starman's cosmic rod.  I then primed and painted the figure.  I finished up by adding a cape made by my wife.
