Wonder Girl is built on a Wonder Woman base. First, I boiled and popped off her head and arms. Painting is much easier with them removed. Then using my Dremel, I ground off her chest symbol, belt, and boot tops. I also ground off the brief line on her legs. Using my X-acto, I cut off Wonder Woman's tiara. Using Sculpey, I built Wonder Girl's flat top boots, her belt and the top of her halter-top. I also covered the tiara area on her head with Sculpey, and shaped it into the form of hair. I then painted the figure using acrylic paints. The little stars are difficult to paint, but the job is much easier if you use an ultra-fine tipped brush. Then, I boiled and popped the head back on and sealed the figure with spray-on acrylic sealant. |
