It took two days for Virgin Suicides to really sink in.  An artistic film by reputation, I felt more than many that it did lay blame and bring closure to the cause of the girls deaths.  The way in which American films overly describe everything to the audience was not present here, but neither was the subtlety of European films.  It is the telling of the story that is important, and that's why it is a weird film to absorb.  The manner in which the characters tell their story is touching.  You feel for those boys because we are as lost as they.  In the confusion of the survivors, you can see the pointlessness of suicide.  The movie keeps you engaged and thinking.  I would recommend this movie.  A must see for those thinking of throwing away their lives.
